"You know," said Albina "I know how you feel in a way"

"Oh?" asked Smok as he raised an eye and kneeled down to Albina while staring her in the face.

"Yeah," replied Albina 'my family pretty much hates me, some of my former friends hate me and I only have half of them left. My sister spread rumors about me and she is pretty much the reason why I am here. My parents are probably happy that I am gone."

"Really?"

"Yeah,"

"You listen to me," the doctor spoke grimly, "Whether we have similar pasts or not, I won't accept your affection or anyone else's affection; to me, you are just an enemy that will betray me later. Although I have my guards, assistant and other people who work for me, I still don't trust them."

"Not all people are false," disagreed Albina "I have known a couple people who are very good."

"Where are they?" jeered Smok.

"They...are not here.....one of them is not alive."

"Why didn't they come to your rescue then? Why aren't your school friends here beating me up and taking you away from here?"

"They don't know I am here"

"Hey!" he exclaimed "since we both have dysfunctional lives, I will reward you!"

"Really?" wondered Albina suspiciously "How?"

"I, Damian Smok" he declared "will postpone your appointment to three weeks instead one and a half...but after I am done removing your organs and selling them, I will do a psychological experiment on you. How will that do for you?"

Albina sat and stared at Smok's gleaming protruding, fang-like teeth; she didn't utter another word to him.

"All right then," he cheered as he stood up "It's settled!" Smok picked up his clipboard and pencil that he left on the table and sped out of the room happily, like a child who was promised a new toy.

While the doctor was happy with his arrangement, Albina didn't know what to feel. Her purgatory was going to be postponed; but after purgatory was over, she would be transferred into a different one. Albina went to the restroom; the restroom was white, dim and dirty like a public restroom. The floor was black and white, the mirrors were cracked and smudged and there was red graffiti on the stalls. Some messages said things like "help me" or "I am in hell" but others were drawings. She went to the sink, twisted the "c" tap and washed her face. The water was freezing but it stopped the itching for a brief period. She looked into the mirror and saw that her straight hair was full of dead leaves, her skin was white as paper, and her scar was gray. She looked like a corpse! Because she didn't have a brush or comb she ran her fingers through her hair and plucked out the dead leaves and whatever else was in there. She ran her fingers through her hair until the knots were gone and her hair looked decent.

After the psychological experiment was over, what would happen next? Would she be in charge of all the patients or work as a slave in the hospital? Speaking of patients, the screaming man that she saw would have to be comforted.

Albina opened the metal doors as far as she could open them and took out the pebbles that had been in her white jacket. She was not sure how they got there in the first place but she inferred that they feel in her pockets when she was rolling down the hill the day she got abducted. She raised her hand high, aimed and flung them at the dim light bulb. The hallway was dark now – the security cameras couldn't see anything now. There were certain times when security cameras had been turned off, Albina assumed that it was to save power.
