It's the thirty-first day of current month and I am standing here in the court room in the castle. Since my brother Tedrick likes to read books, especially law ones, he offered me to be my defense attorney.
I don't know how good he is, but he is at least someone, who I can fully trust.
My attorney is Tedrick, but why is prince Leo working as the attorney for Kathy? And the judge is no one else than the king. My parents, Gerald and Aria are sitting on seats designated for public.
„Let's begin.", announced the king.
„Now, can you tell us all why we are here, Kathy?", he asked her.
„From the time I learned about Anastasia here being fiancé of prince Leo and future queen, I wanted to become her friend. But she kept pushing me away so hard, that I hurt myself many times."
„What? Those are all lies!"
„Be silent! You will have time to defend yourself later."
„Sister, sit down.", told me Tedrick.
(Ahh, I don't like it. She still keeps lying.)
„You can continue.", the king told Kathy.
„First time, I just hurt my leg, but then she pushed me down the stairs in the dormitory. And the last time she even stabbed me with a knife. My defense stats are low, and so I couldn't defend myself against her attacks properly. And I even didn't expect her to attack me."
„Why did she do that? I just wanted to be her friend?!", she was sobbing and then started to cry.
„I see. Does your attorney have anything to include?"
„Yes, your highness!"
(Or yes, my father! What is this play about?)
„I would like to call here our first witness... myself."
„Okay, come to the area for witnesses and tell us what you saw."
(How can he be also a witness?)
„Objection! The attorney is in conflict of interests. He can't testify!", shouted out Tedrick.
„Mmm... that is right. Please return to your seat.", said the king.
(Oh... I didn't know, that Tedrick is this good.)
„We have another witness... a girl from the second year. She saw the defendant at the scene."
„Bring her here."
The girl I saw downstairs came to the area for witnesses and told everyone, that she saw me standing upstairs.
„Okay. Has defending side any questions for this witness?"
„Yes, your highness.", said Tedrick and got up.
„Did you see Anastasia Browne to push Kathy down the stairs?"
„No. I just saw her standing there when the accident happened."
„So, is it possible, that she just spotted her slip and fall down and was concerned about her health?"
„Objection! Leading question!.", shouted Leo.
„Rejected! Please answer..."
(Oh... he rejected it! I thought, that he might be biased.)
„Umm... it might be so, but Kathy then told us about being pushed."
