Chapter Three: Sayaka Maizono's POV:

Sayaka had just gotten herself settled down, she had turned off the light and was preparing to go to sleep when she heard a noise at her door.

The handle started to rattle, and whoever was there knocked on the wood.

"Ah!" She gasped placing her hands over her mouth and leaning against the door so they couldn't get in.

Was this what Leon meant when he told her that she was the first victim?! Was this somebody coming in her dorm to kill her?!

The rattling stopped and she sighed in relief. She wondered what Kuwata would do in this situation. He'd been through it a million times, maybe she should confront them..

No, she couldn't take that risk. She needed to live! She had to live for Leon. She needed to live for her bandmates... she needed to escape... she couldn't afford to die here...

Sayaka took a deep breath and waited for the rattling to stop. After a couple of minutes she heard footsteps retreating.

Had she just avoided a murder attempt?

She felt like it was too simple... she should talk to somebody about it in the morning... Makoto, possibly?

Sayaka sighed and flopped onto her bed, at least it was comfortable.

She wondered how she got into this situation in the first place, she could only remember getting accepted into Hope's Peak... standing infront of the gates... going inside the school and waking up in a classroom. That was where her memory abruptly ended.

She didn't remember a single detail from the previous killing games... maybe she would find something if she focused hard enough...

Maizono felt extremely tired, there'd be plenty of time to focus in the morning... and talk to Naegi about the possible attacker. After all, she didn't want to bother Kuwata-Kun, he already seemed worried enough as it was, and Naegi was the next closest thing to a functioning human there.

"Please get me out of here soon..." she mumbled trying not to cry. As soon as those words left her mouth she closed her eyes and drifted into sleep.

"If you don't die then I can't get out of here!" A familiar voice screamed, their voice was raw and in pain, desperate. Desperate to escape. Desperate to kill.

"You really think he'll just let us out of here?!"

And then... a brutal force, with extreme accuracy... the long thing object whacked right on the joint connecting her wrist to her hand.

Her wrist. Her right wrist.

It dangled loosely by her side, she held it, running into the bathroom.

Ah... have I lost...? I... I can't... give up! He was so determined to help me... it's a rouse! If I don't act he's going to kill me. Oh, Naegi-Kun... what have I done...

"Ah!" She lurched forwards falling onto her hands and knees as the door opened, getting to her feet she began to scream desperately... maybe somebody would hear her cries of agony and help!

Soundproof...

"You need to listen to me, just calm down okay?!"

"Uh...! Maizono..."

Like a punch to the gut... sharper...

Slowly looking down she whimpered. What... happened...?

Her vision began to blur as she slid down the wall, bleeding.
