Ch 20

Abhishek and Mayank pulled up in Shubman's driveway, both of them getting out of their car. Mayank ran over to the front, trying to open it, but it was locked. "Abhishek, hurry!"

Abhishek came over as fast as he could, getting out the spare key that Shubman had given them. "Hold on, Mayank. Just calm down," he said, while unlocking the door.

"Ishan could be hurt for all we know!" Mayank ran inside, almost tripping over the coffee table.

"Careful, baby." Abhishek checked to see if the lights were working, but the power was still out. He pulled out a flashlight. "I'm going to check to see if he's upstairs. You search for him down here."

Mayank nodded his head. They both looked around the whole house for any sign of Ishan. They didn't find him. Ishan was nowhere to be found.

"Fuck!" Mayank kicked at the table, frustrated. "Where the fuck is he?!"

"I think whoever it was that was here took him," Abhishek said. "We came too late."

"But that means he is missing again! Abhishek, what are we going to tell Shubman? He's going to be very upset when he finds out Ishan was kidnapped again."

"Mayank, don't worry. We'll find him again. They can't have gone far, whoever did this."

"I hope you're right." His phone started ringing. He checked to see who it was. It was Suresh Raina who was calling. He answered it. "Did you guys get Shubman out?"

"We're working on it. We've shown the officer all of the evidence. I think they'll let him out soon. After he gets out, we're going over to the Shahs' home."

"Well, that's good then. We'll be there, waiting for you guys. Just let us know when you're there."

"Will do. Do you guys have Ishan with you?"

"Um, yeah, about that... Ishan was kidnapped again."

"What? What do you mean he was kidnapped again?"

"I was on the phone with him earlier. Letting me know that me and Abhishek needed to pick him up. Then it sounded like someone grabbed him, because all I could hear were muffled sounds."

"This is not good, not good at all."

"Do you think the Shahs and Samit had anything to do with this?"

"I think so. There's no way it was just random. Samit had to have made a deal with whoever took him. Well, meet us at their house. We'll be over there soon, with Shubman."

"Alright." Mayank looked over at Abhishek. "Come on, we need to get to the Shahs' house."

"What for?" Abhishek asked.

"The police will be there. They're going to arrest them and raid their home for more evidence."

"Alright, let's go then."

By the time they got over there, it was already morning. Mayank and Abhishek got out of their car, going over to  Dhoni, Suresh, and Shubman. Shubman turned to them as soon as he saw them. "Mayank, Abhishek!"

"Shubman...we have terrible news..." Mayank said.

"I know. Suresh told me. When I find out who did this they'll pay. They'll regret ever taking Ishan."

"I am so sorry we didn't make it to your house on time," Abhishek said.

"It's alright, you guys did the best you could. We'll just have to find him again."

"Well, right now we need to focus on the task at hand. They just arrested Jay Shah and Samit. They're talking to Sana right now," MS Dhoni said.

"Do you think they'll arrest her too?" Mayank asked.
