FOURTH *(My Last Teenage Year)*

CHAPTER FOUR - Surprise, Surprise..

The project was finally completed and Sophia was happy as she won't have to hear Alvin talk and see him regularly anymore. "Thank God it's finally over", Emily said to Sophia who was sitting beside her. "Yeah", Sophia replied. "I'm sure we'd score high. Everyone in the group did well, especially our leader", Emily said as she smiled at Sophia. "There you go again with 'your' leader. Everybody did well, no one did better than the other", Sophia replied her as she puts her books in her bag. "You'll be fine Sophia, you will be fine", Emily told her laughing. Just then, Sophia received a text message form J.V. She smiled as she read it and replied immediately.

"Emily, do you know the app called Dis?", Sophia asked.
"Yeah, I've heard of it, but I don't use it",
"Okay",
"Why do you ask though?", Emily asked.
"Nothing, I've made some friends there. There's one in particular that I text regularly. He's cool and fun to talk to. It's been fun", Sophia replied blushing. Emily smiled at her and said "well, good for you. So are you two....."
"No, not yet",
"Not yet??", Emily asked laughing out loud.
"No, that's not what I meant. I mean we don't know much about each other . We've not even met before. We're just friends ", Sophia clarified.
"Well, what's his name?", Emily asked.
"His name is J.V. Probably Vincent or something", Sophia replied.
"Or maybe Vincenzo", Emily said as they both laughed at the joke. "Okay", she continued, "Goodluck my friend". She said smiling. They laughed and continued talking until a lecturer walked in.

Sophia got to the dorm around 4:00 pm and to her surprise, she met Bella. She was ecstatic and hugged her tightly. Bella was her close friend from home and they had both worked together in the coffee shop. Bella came for an event happening somewhere in the city and decided to pay Sophia a surprise visit. They were so close that she had jokingly asked for Sophia's dorm room number a long time ago just so she could surprise her one day. Jane smiled and left the room so the both of them could talk. Sophia was very happy; so was Bella. They chatted a bit and went out to grab some snacks.

Days had gone by since Fia and J.V started chatting and their friendship had become strong even without knowing what they looked like. They decided to meet up. J.V asked Fia to choose a location that she was comfortable with. He said he was going to make out time to meet her there no matter how far it might be from where he stayed. Fia was excited to meet him and gave him the address of a restaurant. She was sure that they might end up being more than friends since they had a lot in common and had been friends for so long via Dis app. Sophia told Jane about it and she was happy as well. She also adviced Sophia to be careful since it was the first time they would be meeting each other in person.

On the day of the meet up, Sophia had dressed beautifully and her make up was simple. She was overwhelmed with joy as she was going to meet her friend. She resisted the urge to ask for his WhatsApp number some time ago. She didn't want to feel desperate, so they only communicated via the app. J.V also respected her privacy and didn't ask for her phone number or Instagram handle prior to the meeting. They were both going to ask for each other's phone number after they meet.

Sophia booked an Uber that took her straight to the restaurant. She paid and stepped out of the car. She texted J.V that she was outside the restaurant and he replied that she should come inside the restaurant and told her what he was putting on. At that moment, Sophia's heart started beating fast. It was the first time she'd ever felt that way.

She was nervous and excited at the same time. She breathed in and out several times just to be composed. "What's happening to me?", she asked herself in embarrassment. "Oh, Fia, compose yourself", she told herself blushing.
She then walked into the restaurant, straight to where he said he was seated trying to find him. Looking around, she finally spotted the clothes he said he was wearing. She walked to the table and saw J.V. Immediately, they were both shocked on seeing each other. Sophia was dumbfounded.
"What??", Alvin said as he stood up in surprise and confusion. Apparently, J.V was Alvin. 'J.V' was his nickname.

They both stared at each other in shock. One could hear a pin drop with how quiet the atmosphere was. It was like they had both seen a ghost.

They both continued to stare at each other in utter bewilderment.
