The blaring of my alarm woke me up, usually I would just stay in bed for a while to cuddle with my cat, but I had to see Fury today. "Mmm sorry Alpine, I have to go today." I pet him then swing my legs to get out of bed. I go to the bathroom and brush my teeth before spitting the toothpaste out, and undress to get into the shower.

After showering, I put a towel around my waist, I get out of the shower and into my bedroom to pick out some clothes. I picked out a black tank-top, some beige sweatpants, and a white leather jacket. I grab a pair of fingerless gloves and check the time: 7:21, still have some time left. I look to my left and see Alpine fast asleep on my bed, oh what I would do to be a cat, just sleep, eat, and sleep all day.

I walk to my kitchen and make myself a PB&J sandwich to-go. I fill up my waterbottle, grab my bag, and helmet. I gave Alpine some food before I go out. I grab my motorcyle keys and lock my apartment door behind me. "Oh hi Mrs. Lilian!" I greet to the sweet old woman that lives nearby, "Can I help you with your groceries?" I offer, "Sure!" The old woman smiles at me. I help her carry her groceries to her apartment while having small chit-chat with her. "Thank you, Daniel! I really apreciate it." She smiles once again. "No problem Mrs. Lilian." I wave to her before going to the elevator and entering it. While waiting I check my phone to see quite a bit of notifications

I open the text message from my mom first, it read:

Hi sweetie, hope you slept well last night
Drive safe!! 🥰

Then I read Fury's message

Meet me in my office

The elevator stops at the 7th floor before opening, revealing Steve, "Hey Steve!" I wave, "Hey, Daniel!" He greets me before entering. "Need a ride?" I offer, "No, I don't think I'll be going to the tower today,I have somethings to take care of." He rejects, I smirk behind my helmet, I imagine the things he has to take care of are about Natasha, god, I ship them so much. "Alright." I try to keep my composure. Why is this elevator so slow?! Finally it got to the ground floor, I part ways with Steve and put my keys into the ignition,  put the kickstand up and sped off to the Avengers Tower.

I arrive in around 8 minutes and put my kickstand down once I had parked my motorcycle. I walk to the elevator and scanned my thumb, "Welcome, Daniel." A robotic voice greeted me, J.A.R.V.I.S. The elevator door opened. "Where to?" The voice asked. "Fury's office, please." I replied. I look out of the elevator, the walls of the elevator was made of glass, so I could see the outside, I could see New York come to life. The elevator dinged alerting me that I had arrived to Fury's office.

"Hello Daniel." Fury greeted without looking at me, the usual. "Hi!" I smile, not realizing that my helmet was still on. Fury turns and faces me while put both of his hands on the table. "Helmet." He simply said. Which was then I realized that I had not taken off my helmet, I chuckle, trying to brush it off while taking off my helmet. Fury just looks at me with dead eyes, or eye I guess. "I would like you to be a field agent." I was obviously shocked at the fact he would even think that I could be a field agent. "I really don't feel like I'm the best fit to that job." I try to politely decline his offer. "Why not? You have a good relationship with the Avengers, you can fight, you would fit in very well." He tried to reason with me, "I'll have to give it some thought." Fury gives me a nod and sends me on my way.

I go to the gymnasium and look for the monkey bars, I go and hang on them for a while. Soon I get bored of the monkey bars, and started doing cartwheels to kill some time. I was supposed to be training a new guy named, Sam? I believe. While I was doing cartwheels, the door to the gym opened, and walked in Steve, with another man. "Hey Daniel!" Steve waved, as I got back on my feet I greeted him too, "Hi Steve, I thought you said you weren't gonna be here?" I say sorta disappointed that he wasn't with Natasha, "Daniel, meet Sam, Sam, Daniel." He introduced us to each other, I give a smile and a nod to Sam.

"I'm just gonna watch today, I'm a little sore today." He whined, "Oh yeah? From doing what?" I smirked while making the snarky comment. Steve just turned red and walked to the bleachers to sit. "I like you already." Sam chuckled while looking me up and down. I laughed too knowing what Steve did yesterday, if it was with Natasha, she would tell you all about it later. "Alright, ready to start?" I said while clasping my hands together. "Yup" he replied with a thumbs up.

"So, what weapon do you use?" Trying to know how I would help him train, "wings." I just blinked a few times, "What?" I asked, needing clarification."Wings, like wings on a bird." He clarified, while making a bird motion with his hands. "Okayy? Uhmm do you know hand-to-hand combat?" I asked sort of awkwardly. "I'm a highly trained US Air Force." He replied. "Alright, uhm yeah, let's just start with some hand-to-hand combat, then you show me those wings next time." I smiled, "Sure" he said while chuckling.

"I'll go easy on ya"

Like 10 minutes later

"That was you going easy on me?" Sam said, exhausted. "Sorry, man. I'm used to sparring people with superhuman strength." I sheepishly smiled, while touching the back of my neck. "Heh, it's okay." The man smiled back at me before chugging his water. "Hey, where's Steve?" I look around for him, but he was nowhere to be seen, so I ask J.A.R.V.I.S. "Hey, J.A.R.V.I.S? Where's Steve Rogers?" I ask, while Sam was looking sort of shocked that Steve just left them. "Mr. Rogers is currently in corridor B3 with Agent Romanoff." A Cheshire Cat grin crept up my face as soon as I heard those two names. "Thank you J.A.R.V.I.S.!" I almost yelled, with the excitement that was in my body.

"Wanna come with me Sam?" I offered, "Nah, I think I'm just gonna hit the showers." He declined. "Alright, suit yourself." I wave as I exit the gym, to go to the corridor and yelled out, "I KNEW IT!" OH MY GOD I JUST SAW STEVE AND NATASHA KISSING! God I feel like a high school girl. Steve and Natasha immediately pulled away from each other and in unison yelled out, "It's not what you think!"

A/N: Yes, this will be a Natasha x Steve too 😆 anyhow, how do you guys like it?
