CHAPTER 5 A Friend

The telephone rang out loud, echoing throughout the room, and someone finally answered the call that Kevin had made in a hurry. "Hey, bro, you finally answered my call! I've been trying to reach you, but no one was picking up. Are you good, bro?" Kevin said in a relaxed tone, a clam expression playing on his face as he gazed at the phone's mainline.

"Sup, man!" his friend Justin responded on the other end of the line. "Something up? Did you meet your old paps? How's it going?"

"Hey, man, don't tell me you got all emotional seeing your father after so long. I can't picture your tough guy face shedding tears," Justin teased Kevin, a hint of amusement in his voice.

"Gad damn, bruh! It's not like that at all. Why would I... Tss!" Kevin replied, shaking his head at the teasing from his friend. "Anyway, I need a big favor from you. I'm lost here. I can't locate my father's whereabouts, and to top it off, my phone got stolen at the airport. I'm stuck in a hotel, totally screwed. Could you help me find their location right now? It's nighttime here, so I can't go out to buy a new phone. Do me this favor, bro, for old times' sake."

"Chills, man, you good? Sounds like you're not. Anyway, I've met your garly here. She's looking for you, and dang, she looks so worried and sad she was hellin crying men. You two break up?" Justin asked, his voice laced with concern.

Kevin responded with a sigh on the phone, "Yeah, man, it's a long story. So, what now? Are you helping me or what?"

"Dang! There's gonna be a lot of popcorn moments when you get back here, man. And yeah, I'll do my best. Got your back, bruh," Justin said with determination.

As the conversation unfolded between Kevin and his buddy Justin, a sense of urgency and camaraderie filled the air. Despite the miles separating them, their bond remained unbreakable, connecting them through the telephone line. Justin's laughter echoed down the line, a familiar sound. "Had to give you a hard time, bro. Glad to hear you're keeping it together."

Justin's voice shifted, filled with resolve. "No sweat, bro. I got your back. I'll work my magic and hunt down your old man's spot. We'll figure this out." Gratitude swelled in Kevin's chest, touched by his buddy's unwavering support. "Thanks, man. I owe you big time. Couldn't do this without you. Always there when I need you the most. I'll treat you to a beer when I get back, sound good?"

Justin, knowing Kevin's need for cash as soon as he says a good words to him, and he didn't hesitate. "Hmm, let's see, 200 dollars. Is that good?"

Kevin chuckled, "I knew it! Alright, I'll send you the money. Must be a tough meeting with your father." Justin teased his friend about the family issues that needed to be resolved.

With renewed hope, Kevin waited as Justin set off to gather the intel they needed. Minutes dragged on like hours. And then, finally, Justin's voice cut through the quiet. "Got it, bro! Found your old man's spot. He's chilling on St. Street nearby. Sending you the details pronto. You'll be back together in no time don't forget to hug you old paps." with a laughing sound on the phone, " "you joking men, I'm not that excited you know, I've been in hell since day he left us and now he wants to see me, LIKE FOR WHAT?! SEEING HIM DOING STUPID THINGS WITH HIS MISTRESS? DAMN IT! I KNEW IT'S NOT A GOOD IDEA TO GO HERE it's a waste of time. with a mad tune of Kevin's voice on the phone. "Yeah, I hear you men, be tough tomorrow is a big day, ready you beer alone in there cause I can't travel in a speed of light". Justin said with a comforting sound, his a 22 year-old urupen(European) men who is known to have a plenty of fish in the sea, Kevin's old friend is already aware of Kevin's situation, they're friends since kids and he knows that Kevin is in the tough spot at the moment Kevin's father leave them for another women. He is a rich friend of kevin which both of their dad are partner in business before Kevin's dad left her mother and him behind, so anytime Kevin is in need of money, his friend Justin is there without any hesitation. His good friend in did be like Justin.
