4. this book is set in 1867. which is categorized as the victorian era! it is set in London, England during Queen Victorian's reign. (which is why it's called the victorian era, fun history fact!) think big dresses, big hair, and ballgowns, and etiquette (very much Bridgeton vibes although that show was set from 1813-1827 which was the regency era).
