Ch 22: The Winds of Change

Nobody Pov

The battle was over. All Might defeat Lucifer's clone as the league of villains escaped. The other heroes were going through the aftermath saving the survivors and the trapped citizens. The sun rouse as the light shined upon a brand-new day. News channel couldn't stop playing the Kamino coverage over and over again. All might last message was broadcasted around the world, "Now it's your turn." The citizens and heroes were inspired from his last words as the symbol of peace. But they all were iterant to its meaning. Midoriya and the others took Bakugo to the police as he remained silence throughout his trip there. Meanwhile, law enforcement executives were having a meeting discussing the aftermath and investigation towards the League.

Man 1: The captured Nomu are the same as the others. The warehouse they were "supposed" to be stored is completely destroyed. At this point we can only continue to investigate the methods by which they're created.

Man 2: That warehouse was a decoy all along. The location was an Ill-suited spot for biological experiments and was too easy to find and raid. And there is still no new information about the League through the bar hideout?

Man 1: We're still investigating.

The executive pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration.

Man 3: Seems like this "Lucifer" is smart than we thought. We knew he was powerful, however our rushed judgment to save that kid clouded the unpredictable outcome. Nobody would have known that he would have set a trap like that. Let alone showing up without even showing up. 

Man 4: Honestly, this whole thing was a total defeat for us. Lucifer not only tricked us but also help his brother and the league escape. The only bright side to all of this, is that kidnaped student is safe.

Man 2: Don't be an idiot. It's worse than that. Our country just lost the symbol of peace, and for what? All Might true form was exposed to the whole world. Everyone everywhere now know that the top heroes can be defeated. The citizens and the villains now know it.

Man 5: That's the price we pay for always relying on one hero.

Man 2: People now know that they can raise hell with just a hand full of thugs. Hate to think what that might inspire. Our original initial profile on Tomura Shigaraki as a man with childish disposition. With each dastardly plan that he cooks up they become more and more intricate. He's completely focused on the effect he can have on our society as a whole. His thought process as changed, evolved, and matured. And with All Might out of the picture, we're less equipped than ever to stop him or Lucifer. Their league grows stronger with every defeat and every passing day. Now Lucifer and Tomura Shigaraki have all the clout they need to expand their organization's scope and influence.

Man 6: Are you saying that this was part of Lucifer's masterplan? That's a big ass rabbit hole to take a leap into.

Man 2: We're not sure. What we can say for certain is we have to capture them no matter what. As the police we have to prove that we can do more than just simply taking in the villains that heroes defeat. We need to make changes.

-At the hospital-

The scene shows All Might and Grand Torino in bandages on beds next to each other trying to contemplate what happened on the battlefield in Kamino.

All Might: So that was Lucifer. *sighed* All for one choose one hell of a successor.

Grand Torino: I can't believe I actually relief when we killed him five years ago. To think he passed on his power to another and dub him as a successor. *He turns to All Might was sarcasm* Who know he would be a better mentor.
