Ch 13: The Past and Present

- 2 Weeks Before the Shigaraki Encounter -

IZUKU POV

I was called by All might to meet him in one of the teacher's lounge. He said it was important. I opened the door and saw All might sitting on the couch with a serious aura around him.

Izuku: Hey All might, is everything ok?

All Might: Please, Sit down....

Izuku: Okay (Takes a seat)

All Might: you went through a lot recently I'm sorry I wasn't around.

Izuku: It's fine, but you mentioned one for all before is something wrong.

All Might: I heard that the hero killer swallowed your blood during your fight.

Izuku: Yeah, his quirk only works when he Taste or swallows the blood of his victim the Paralyze them, It gave us a really hard time. Is that what this is about?

All Might: Do you remember what I said, when I gave you my power that day......

Izuku: Eat this!

All Might: No! Not that part! I told you that the key was in my DNA, that's why you had to swallow my hair.

Izuku: Holy S**T!!!! Does that mean the Hero killer has "One for All" now?!?

All Might: No he doesn't. I thought you might have been worried but seems I was wrong. One for All can only be given to another person unless you the bearer intend to pass it on. It's not something that just can be taken by force. But it can be transferred by force kind of like a girl giving you Valentine's chocolate.

Izuku: What kind of example was that?!

All Might: The quirk you have now is unique, you have the right to know its origin. One for all always derived from another odd quirk, a very old power.

Izuku: It use to be something different?

All Might: Yes, the name of that Quirk is...... "All For One", it allowed its user to take quirks from others and the user could keep it for himself or give it to someone else.

Izuku: What, he can steal powers?

All Might: This was a time back when quirks were just starting to show up, before Society had to figure out how to deal with the newly powered among them when quirks first appeared suddenly it was impossible to say what it meant to be a normal person. Laws and human rights were hotly debated, civilizations progress stalled, Society decayed....

Izuku: If superpowers had never appeared the People would be taking Interstellar holidays by this point.

All Might: Right. There was one person who managed to Rally many people together for his cause. He went by the name of his power, All for one. He stole quirks from others and then with his overwhelming abilities he spread his influence across the country he manipulated people to serve his purpose and committed evil acts with little resistance and in the blink of an eye, he became the leader of villains and ruled over Japan.

Izuku: Shouldn't this Story be in our history books, cause only heard rumors of this events online.

All Might: Because it's the kind of history nobody likes to talk about. Anyway, when a person gains true power, they enjoy showing it off the others.

Izuku: Still a little bit confused how does this all tie together? And with One for All?

All Might: I said that All for One could give quirks to others remember. He made people trust him or submit to his will by altering their abilities. But apparently so many poor souls couldn't bear the burden of the quirks they were giving they became like Mindless living dolls incapable of speaking, just like the Nomu.
