Chapter 6: "The Pre-Dance Jitters"
Saturday evening arrived, and Emily's nerves were on edge. She had spent hours getting ready, trying on different dresses and styling her hair. Her heart raced as she heard the doorbell ring.
Justin stood at the door, looking dashing in his black tuxedo, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "Hey, beautiful! Ready to rock this dance?"
Emily's cheeks flushed as she took in his compliment. "Yeah, let's do this!"
As they drove to the dance, Emily's anxiety grew. What if she tripped on her dress? What if she said something stupid?
Justin sensed her tension and reached for her hand. "Hey, relax! We're going to have fun, I promise. And if we don't, we'll make fun of the cheesy music together."
Emily smiled, feeling a surge of gratitude toward him. "Thanks, Justin. You're really sweet."
Justin's eyes crinkled at the corners. "That's what I'm here for, nerd."
As they entered the dance, Emily's worries melted away. Justin was by her side, making her laugh and feel like a queen. Little did she know, the night was only just beginning...
