Seeing her message finally brought me back to reality. Weh mi really a do wid da bwoy yah?

Well siddung at the people dem expensive dinner table inna him clothes. Mi fi have shame.

“Are you alright, sweetie?” His mother's concerned tone broke my gaze away from my phone as I looked up at her. I offered a small smile as I replied, “ Yeah, I'm fine.” I cleared my throat, “My sister's just concerned about me. I should honestly get going.” Mi couldn't wait fi outta dem people yah face.

I turn my gaze towards Joshua, digging into the pile of greens in front of him. Him nuh hear mi seh mi wah gah mi yaad? Watching him eat his breakfast reminds me of how he was eating me-

“Josh, didn't you hear her? Hurry up and eat so you can take her home.” His father said dismissively.

Joshua kissed his teeth as he put down his fork and got up from the table. He walked up to my side of the table and said, “Yuh ready?”
His eyes were low as he stared at me.

A wamn to tight ole?

I nodded my head and slid out of my seat. The realization that the only thing I had on was this boy's underwear and tee shirt kicked in, and I embarrassingly waved goodbye to his family as I walked out of their kitchen. “ It was lovely meeting you! We'd love to have you here again, honey.” His mom said as I hurriedly walked by them. The only thing mi coulda do is nod mi head and smile.

Cause who a come back yahsuh?

I exited the kitchen to see Joshua walking in the direction of the front door. I trail behind him, confused. Him nah guh fi mi clothes?

Look like the dolly pissed frl cause why him a walk fast yf?

Now outside, I watch as he hops into the car, a serious look on his face. “Weh yah do? Mi affi change first.” I asked him, feeling uncomfortable standing outside like this.
