Heeseung sat beside Jake's grave, He's trying to pick up unwanted insects and plants around his tomb. He sighs, sniffing his stuffy nose because of the cold weather. These days has been so cold, sometimes Hee thinks the universe is cooperating with his emotions. He laughs at the idea of that, it's true that he has been so gloomy these days. So many reasons why but Hee will always point his bereavement towards the younger. Somehow the reason for his happiness is Jake but also for his sadness.
"Hi love" He smiled wiping dust on his tombstone, Jake Sim—Born: November 15, 2002. Died: June 22, 2019. "Happy 5th death anniversary" He couldn't speak after that. It was like his tongue is caged. He gulped before trying to speak again. He was trying his best to swallow whatever emotion he's building now, Jake wouldn't want him to cry specially if it's about him. "How have you been there love? I have been good love, Lee corporations is successful now, our friends are successful too. I have to tell you a secret, Ni-ki is planing on proposing to Sunoo. Cute right? I can't help but think we could've been the first ones to be married and have kids together" he paused, trying to calm himself down. "I'm sorry love i couldn't protect you like what i promised you" His voice cracked and finally a tear strolled down. "Everyday i prayed and prayed to Him, For all of this to be a dream. —me losing you wasn't part of our plans" He sniffs, snuggling in his coat when a cold breeze hits him. He smiled. "Okay i'll stop crying" He laughs "You know love i met a person that looks exactly like you. Crazy right? But you are different from him love. I thought you are finally back and finally God woke me up from this crazy nightmare, but then again, I just thought. I couldn't even sleep right because I was so full of questions of you in my head. But don't worry love, You'll always be my favorite reason to lose sleep" He smiled just like Heeseung 5 years ago smiled at Jake.
Heeseung stayed there a little too long, He's always like this. He just felt like he's already home. He watches everybody else leaving the cemetery, familiar cars approached and certain beings got out of it while carrying flowers. They always pause for a moment to look at the elder talking to the younger's tombstone like a little kid. Every death anniversary, they always witness this. It has always been hurtful watching the elder this way but they couldn't do anything about it either.
"Hee" Sunoo called, the elder looked at them and got up. "Thank you for not forgetting guys" He smiled thanking their friends while slowly putting the flowers around Jake's tomb. "He is family, Hee. You don't need to thank us" Jungwon said piercing his lips "Your nose is so red, how long have you been here?" Jay worriedly asked the elder, grabbing wonnie's spare heating pads from his bag. "Just this morning, Don't worry too much" The elder giggled. "By just this morning you mean?" Ni-ki raised a brow, Hee always lies. "This morning? Ni-ki it's simple as that to understand" Hee frowned. "Be specific attorney" Ni-ki pulled the mother pose at him, waiting for an answer from his so called teenage lying son. "8" Ni-ki pulled the two hands in the waist pose this time, "Okay fine, 5" Hee rolled his eyes at him. "5 am!? are you really out of your mind? even the deads are still sleeping at that time" Jay scolded like a dad. "Ya stop fighting okay? Heeseung has reasons" Jungwon said being done with the noises, they're here to talk to Jake and not fight.
They chatted so long, it was like they time traveled to the past to reminisce the good times they had specially when they had Jake. They had fun and didn't thought it was already dark. Only the lights of the candles and a little bit of street light from the cemetery could be seen. Jay didn't like staying here when it's dark, he has really high phobias of ghost and that's too funny not to make fun of. "O my god Jay there's a hand at your shoulder!!!!" Ni-ki shouted that made Jay jump and tried to rip his shirt out of his body. They laughed and Sunoo scolded Ni-ki for doing that. "You're trying to scare me with a ghost when just by your face alone scares me away already" Jay rolled his eyes annoyed. "Shh now, We will see each other somewhere guys, drive safely" Jungwon bid to all of them. They got separate cars so. "Likewise" Sunoo said posing a cute peace sign. "Thank you for coming guys, Drive safely. I'll go ahead first" Heeseung bid and got in his car. It was a long day but it wasn't even tiring. Maybe because He was with his safe place and his rest.
