ALEX'S POV:
*Beep Beep Beep*
Ugh.... It's morning already...? I thought I it was at least-
*BEEP BEEP BEEP*
I sprinted at the noise of my alarm, my eyes fluttered with bluryness and frustration, I quickly sprung up and turned off my big mouth of an alarm.
My eyes darted to my fingers, which were feeling the cuffs of the ruffled sheets of my bed...My eyes darted towards my curtains, which were beaming with light, glossing all over my bedroom...Not to mention all over my movie posters....Dang...I REALLY hated Mondays, but then again, who doesn't? My room mostly consisted of old artifacts and SOME jewelry, mostly some cool CDs, action books, Movie stars, and one very messy bed....I guess I could tiddy up around here, I just don't have the time-
I quickly jumped up from my bed, rubbing my tired eyes, I wonder if my Mom's up...-
I went towards the bathroom, which had a silver-framed mirror.
I looked at my reflection...
Dang...I look like a hot mess....
I pressed my hands on the marble counter top, my fingertips scanning the base of it. I brushed my brown short and messy hair, my light emerald teal-ish eyes fluttered with exhaustion, I mostly had my fathers features, but my mothers face shape...
My features were soft, maybe because I was an Emily, most of us Emily's were kind, nice, and protective...
Like my father once was....Henry Emily....
Nevermind that, the point was my features...Not my past...
I brushed my teeth, washed my face to clear my vision a bit more, and then went to my wardrobe.
It was tall, glossingly white, and, it could fit all the clothes I needed!
We got this wardrobe when we first moved in, my step father Stanley wanted me to have something nice in my room, so, this wardrobe would settle out the mess of my bed.
I turned the golden smooth nob,
Creak
As I opened the wardrobe, I decided what I was going to wear. Although I didn't treat school like it was a fashion show, I at least wanted to look decent.
Because, this was high school, a place where if you were new here, you were basically fresh meat, you could be the most innocent person their, then at the end of the school year, you could be the most cruelest...
And the definition of cruel was...
Arty Baxter...
I'll get to that douce-bag later....
I chose a long white sleeved shirt and put a black and white checkered swirly shirt on top of it, along with some blue jeans...
Decent enough.
I also stylized my my hair, since it wasn't EXACTLY short, it was kinda long, my bangs helped it to be proven, I still made it look a bit messy, but not to the point I looked like I hadn't slept in ages.
I put on some of my converse (Wait, did converse exist back then? I'm too lazy to look it up)
After getting ready, I headed down stars, ready to brush away public embarrassment. I walked down the stairs, then, looked at my brother and sister....At least, once they were my brother and my sister... The gold framed photo of Sammy and Charlie...My siblings...I put my finger on the picture... hey guys...I miss you already, I wish you guys would be with me through the heck-hole that is high school...
You guys with always be with me...
I walked into the kitchen, then, I glanced at my mother, she turned to me and smiled, her teal rose tinted eyes faced me.
"Hi sweetie, I didn't even have to wake you up this time, how you did sleep?" My mothers soft and sweetened voice helped me calm down a bit. I could see some of my siblings in her...But, they mostly look like my father... even at 29, she looked like a women from a magazine, a sweet, but sassy women."Pretty good for the most part, I guess today isn't going to be as harsh as I thought it would." I chuckled softly, my mother brush her golden curls, she was wearing a rose pink blouse and long blue flairs.
She seemed to be making pancakes....
*Sigh*
It was freshly done pancakes, and they made my mouth water even more so....
"Mom, I don't want to be rude, but, don't you think I'm a little to ol-" Her face made a slight pout, her eyes rolled to the back of her head,
"Oh please, teenagers always say that stuff, no matter how hard you try to act old, you'll always be my little Alex~"
She smiled and hugged me, and, I scoffed sarcastically. Her voice was smooth and silkened.
"I'm just saying, mom, do I really-""BEEP BEEP, Teenage alert, I repeat, teenager alert!" That voice!
I looked over my shoulder, the one who was doing the beeping was Stanley, my step father.
"You know what, Fine, I'm guilty, but in my defense I was honest." I rose my hands up in a guilty way.
And once I did, the man chuckled slightly.
Stanley did have the look for a care-free guy, he was a bit chubby, with blonde hair, brown doe eyes, and he wore a blue collar shirt and some black pants."Well, maybe you shouldn't be TOO honest, plus, your mom's cooking is amazing!" He smiled, walking over to the family table, which made to fit at least 4 people. My mothers face went flustered and soft once Stanley spoke
Stanley sat next to me as he ruffled my hair.*:・🍮⭐🥞⋆.ೃ࿔⋆౨ৎ˚⟡˖ ࣪ 🧇🧈⋆౨ৎ˚⟡˖ ࣪˚
My mother placed the pancakes on the porcelain table....
The syurp melting on the sweet, fluffly pancakes, the butter letting the sweet silkened sweet come inside...
I loved this....I shouldn't, but, I loved this.
"Thanks mom, hey, did you get a new pancake mix?"
My mother flipped her hair as she sat down.
"When you're as sweet and amazing as me, any pancake can work!"
She gave me at least three pancakes, I sliced one up and took a bite.
"Mmmm!~"
Wait- I sounded like a little kid again!
"Well, look at little Alex!" Stanley laughed, I scoffed.
As Stanley took a bite out of the pancake, he asked
"So, how's it going with those friends of yours?"
I quickly gulped my pancakes down,
"Well, pretty good honestly, my friend Ava's been doing Aikido, and, she's pretty good at it!" It was true! Me and her took classes every Wednesday and Friday, but that still didn't help me get through Arty...
No Alex, think of something else than him...
"Well, it's about 7:12AM, you should get going!" My mothers eyes lit up as the words left her mouth.
I gasped slightly.
"Oh shi-"
"Language!" My mom said
"Shizz! I got to go!"
I grabbed my backpack from the wooden hanger.
"And where do you think you're going without giving your mother a sweet hug?"
My mother said, I rolled my eyes, I went to give her a slight light hug.
"I spent hours squeezing you out of my body, with pure pain and this is the aka "hug" you give me..."
"I just-"
"Give your mother a real hug"
I quickly gave her the tightest hug I could ever give.
"Good!"
She closed her eyes and laughed softly, and gave Stanley a hug as well.
"Bye mom, Bye Stanley!"
And with that, I went out of the house, ready to face the death sentence that is school....
