She chuckled seeing the color draining from her sister's face when she announced that she was again attempting to flee away.

"I was kidding. I was packing for our trip to the USA. We have a flight the day after tomorrow. Did you forget?" Andaleeb snapped her fingers in front of her eyes.

Daneen sighed in relief. "You can give someone a heart attack."

She batted her eyelashes. "Yes, my looks are enough for it. Heart attacks, strokes, paralysis, and everything else."

"God forbid. What kind of things are you saying?" Daneen pushed her hand up and down.

She grinned. "What about your packing, Dani?"

Daneen tugged a strand of her hair behind her ear. "There was so much anguish these past few days that it completely slipped away from my mind that Baba has gifted us tickets for a trip."

She pressed her lips together. "That's because of me. Right? But rest assured now. I have moved on from Aurang's topic. For now, my new fiance and the happiness of all of you matters now."

"I am very glad you saw things this way and didn't try for anything worse. Well yes talking about your fiance, he wants to talk to you. Here call back him," Daneen said, giving the phone to her.

Andaleeb raised a brow. "What does he want to talk to me?"

She shrugged. "I don't know. Call already. It doesn't look good to make him wait. I'll be starting with my packing too then."

Andaleeb nodded and waited for her sister to leave the room before darting her attention to the headset. She was still in stupor of either calling Mohid or not when the bell rang and it was actually him who was calling. She huffed before taking the call.

"AssalamoAlaikum!"  His voice was husky and deep as he spoke.

She was talking exclusively to him for the first time. He was the one of those family friends yet she seldom came across him. For many years, he stayed abroad and when he came back, he was that reserved and workaholic kind of guy who didn't talk more than necessary. She also didn't have any interest in him, which was why too that was their first interaction. It was only since two years the talks of their union made the news.

"Walaikum Assalam," she greeted back, bored of this conversation. If he was thinking of maintaining a contact with her as she became his fiance and annoying her with phone calls like this, it would be so frustrating for her.

"How are you?" Mohid's next-
to-the-point question now grated on her nerves.

"I'm good. Any special reason you called me?" She wanted this to just end now.
