Chapter 12: My Territory

As the whistle blew to resume the game, the new player jogged into position. His distinctive ponytail swayed with each step, catching the attention of both teams.

Riku spotted him first, a wide grin spreading across his face. "Hayato! About time you got in," he called out to his friend over.

Hayato returned the grin. "Of course I'd get in. I was always meant to be on this field."

Riku gave him a quick pat on the back. "Glad to hear your confident side again, it's been a long time.”

The double hair coloured trio of Bastard Munchen, standing nearby, exchanged incredulous glances. They knew Hayato as the anti-social player of the team. Kaiser scoffed, clearly skeptical. “Is this really the same guy who barely says a word?”

Ness nodded, his expression one of disbelief. “I don’t buy it. Let's see if he can actually do anything out here.”

Meanwhile, on the Manshine City side, Chigiri's eyes narrowed as he watched Hayato. Though he knew Hayato wasn't as fast as he was, he recognized the threat. "This guy... he's trouble," Chigiri muttered to himself, feeling a twinge of concern.

The game resumed with Bastard Munchen in possession. Hayato's presence added a new layer of intensity, and the opposing team could feel it.

While the rose quartz eyed male had the ball, he thought of a random and amusing idea to pass to someone he wouldn't usually pass to.

As the pink haired male turned his head slightly just so he could glance at the player from his peripheral vision, a mischievous smirk played on his lips.

With a swift movement, the ball was in Kunigami’s possession. For a split second, the ginger’s eyes widened before quickly returning back to normal. “Better make my pass to you worth it, wild card!”

But before Kunigami could even utter a word or make another move. The ball was already snatched by Kaiser, as the blonde glared at Chouka directly. Seemingly displeased. “What are you doing? You stupid butterfly.”

Chouka felt a pang of pain in his heart after Kaiser’s harsh words, but he let it slide. After all, it's Kaiser.

Kaiser started moving up, but before he could get too far he looked back at Chouka and opened his mouth to speak again. “Don't you dare disobey me and displease me in any way, especially like this again.”

As Ness zoomed past Chouka to back Kaiser up, the midfielder glanced at the sakura head with worry. Before returning his gaze back to Kaiser's running figure.

As Ness got in the right position, he received Kaiser's pass and his eyes fixated on a player with jet black hair.

Ness sent the ball to Riku who caught it easily. “Thanks magician!” As Riku dribbles past Manshine City players. Hayato arrived by his side.

Meanwhile, on the German team’s half of the field. There was an interaction going on between two unexpected players. “Winged insect, what the hell was that all about?” The taller male glared down at the shorter individual.

“Huh..?” Chouka, who was seemingly dazed before the ginger spoke out to him, looked up at him. “Why did you pass to me?” Kunigami asked with a stern tone, his eyes narrowing.

“I just thought it would be a good idea… I didn't intend to displease him…” Chouka looked down, he knew that it would usually be a small matter to be upset about for other individuals. But not for him.

“Listen up, insect. There's no point in dick riding that arrogant bastard.” Kunigami glared at him before moving up the field. “Hey don-!!” Before Chouka could barely start his sentence, something else caught his interest.
