Alexo quickly turned to his side, violently vomiting gallons and gallons of water onto the sand surrounding him.
His body had never ached so much, and yet he felt good as new at the same time.
More and more water poured out, leaving the sand dark and damp next to him.
Once he emptied the water from his insides, he rolled back onto his back, staring up at the still peaceful sky. His eyes were faded and cold, barely able to make out the already fuzzy and unclear sky.The sounds of peaceful waves were the only things he could hear, eventually interrupted by his loud and pained gasping for air.
His coughing was too loud for him to hear footsteps approaching him. He turned his head as much as he could to see Hermes approaching him."You're alive?" Hermes asked, dropping a pile of wood onto the sand.
Alexo looked around, finally noticing other pieces of wood all around him.
"Were you going to burn my body?" Alexo asked.
He sat up quickly, sand moving off of his body and showing that all of his wounds had closed, leaving clean and smooth skin."Your wounds...they are..." Hermes started.
"Yeah yeah." Alexo sounded tired and annoyed as he got to his feet.
"Who are you?" Hermes asked, reaching behind his back and grabbing something attached to the rope around his waist.
"I am Alexo, cursed Son of Hades." Alexo said, wiping his hands aggressively to get the sand off of them.
Hermes' eyes went wide.
"You...are..." He started.
"A monster? Abomination? Demon?" Alexo listed off.
"Anomaly." Hermes said.
Alexo looked confused.
"I will admit, that is a new one." Alexo said.
Alexo began to crack his knuckles while Hermes kept his hand behind his back.
"So, I guess we're going to fight now." Alexo said.
Hermes suddenly pulled his arm in a flash, the dagger in his hand was a blur. Alexo only dodged it at the last possible second, going for a punch to his face but Hermes other arm blocked it. He went to stab Alexo in the face, who tilted his head back to dodge it. He stared at the perfectly clean silver blade, able to see his reflection.
The dagger dropped and Hermes swept Alexo's leg. Alexo hit the sand hard as the dagger continued to fall. Hermes went to grab it, but Alexo's leg kicked up and his his arm. Alexo reached up to grab the dagger as it spun in the air, but Hermes grabbed his wrist. Alexo twisted his out and grabbed hold of Hermes wrist, forcing his hand open palm down when the dagger stabbed through his hand. Hermes went to scream, but Alexo took both of his legs and wrapped them around Hermes ankles, forcing him to fall forward. Alexo kept his arm in place, causing him to fall face down, the hand forced to his chest and the dagger stabbing deep into his heart.
Hermes body went limp, killing him instantly.
Alexo was panting hard, getting to his feet when massive white wings suddenly shot out from his back, throwing Alexo back.
Alexo grunted and sat back up, rubbing his back as the wings fell to the ground slowly, using the last drops of life to move as much as they could.
Alexo sighed and looked over at the pile of wood, then back at the body.A massive fire was burning on the beach as the sun began to set, turning the sky into orange and purple hues.
Alexo stood with his arms behind his back, watching as the body with massive wings burned.
The smoke was almost pure white and sparkling with golden star dust going up towards the dark sky. As more and more of the body disappeared and faded way, the smoke became darker and darker.
