REWORKED, Sep 19th, 2024

Aaron B. Howe, commonly known as Aaron B.H., is the President of the United States, representing the AFP.

In 2017, Joe Biden and Barack Obama retired from their respective roles, with Biden notably abstaining from joining the Democrats in their efforts to win the election.

During Donald Trump's presidency, he damaged the Republican Party's reputation to the point where it fell below the popularity of the Liberal Party.

By 2020, the January 6th raid took place not as a result of MAGA but because Americans woke up from the American Dream and demanded change.

By mid-2020, polling indicated a new political party, the American Freedom Party (AFP), was likely to be elected. Their platform promised:

1. Less gun control: The Second Amendment shall not be infringed.

2. Promotion of civil liberties: The government will not infringe upon personal freedoms.

3. Harsher punishments for MAPs and animal abusers, potentially including the death penalty.

4. Reallocation of $50 billion from the $750 billion defense budget to healthcare, policing, and other social services.

5. Free housing for homeless people: Housing would be constructed in the central plains of the U.S. Low-income individuals could also purchase homes in these areas.

6. IRS Ninjas: IRS agents would confiscate one-time-use, hyper-specific items and sell them back to reduce clutter and taxes (inspired by a "How to fix politics forever).

7. Fuel Efficiency Mandate: A focus on reducing pollution through better fuel standards.

8. Online Safety Act: A practical and much better version of KOSA, mandating ID verification for adult content sites, prohibiting the sale or collection of personal data, and requiring platforms like Roblox to moderate their content. Parents and children would vote annually on what content should be banned.

9. Anti-corruption stance: All corrupt individuals would be sentenced to prison for half of their life.

10. LGBTQ+ rights: "No person shall infringe on another's right to live their life."

11. Revised firearm laws: Reduced restrictions with enhanced background and mental health checks. Monthly mental health check-ins would be required, and the government would provide cheap, government-issued firearms for sale.

12. Equality under the law: No one, not even the president, is above the law.

13. Gender equality: Equal pay for women and the right for men to prosecute female abusers.

14. Minimum wage: The government would establish a minimum wage, never falling below $10 per hour, acknowledging the mental strain of fast food jobs.

Though the platform wasn't liked by everyone, it was seen as an improvement over "anti-gun extremists" and politicians who promised to build walls in deserts to stop immigration.

By November, the AFP won the election with a landslide:

AFP: 64%

Democrats (Blue): 21%

Republicans (Red) (Hey that's me! (I'm not a republican): 6%

Others: 9%

By 2021, the U.S. was thriving. Gun culture was thriving, the stock market rose, homelessness decreased to near-zero, and the U.S. was ranked as the 10th happiest country in the world. The AFP remained open to public input on how to govern.

In 2022, the sitting president tragically passed away after a long battle with cancer. Aaron B.H, the vice president, assumed the presidency.

By December 2023, polling showed that the AFP had a 74% approval rating. The U.S. economy, still recovering from COVID-19, was in much better shape than what it was in 2020. (Overall, similar to how it is today, just around 3-5% better.)

God bless America.
