Driving for 15 minutes away from the busy streets and into my private land is something I am so used now, but I always find it therapeutic, the buildings becoming large fields of potatoes.

Living in Shicotee is the best thing in the world, I'd be in a crazily crowded place with tons of cars passing through and through, for the next 15 or 20 minutes I'd be in a peaceful and quite place, well not really quite right now especially with the noise the harvester was making.

"Mila! Good morning!" Little voices got my attention as I look at the kids running my way, dogs tailing them.

"Good morning to all of you too. To you Jared, Lara and Kenny." I spoke happily as the kids hugged me, I am very aware of the dirt that is clinging into them, but I couldn't careless, these kids are not going to be like this forever, got to make the most of it.

"Where are your parents?" I asked them as they held my, dragging me with them.

Farmers greeted me as I walk towards the farmhouse where I know James and Sara would be.

They have been the people who are here since the beginning, they run the farm because I can't, but as the owner of the land and everything that they are using to maintain the farm, I am making sure to know everything there is to know, and also, they are lovely people.

"Mom and dad are talking to a girl who wants to get a lot of potatoes." I raised an eyebrow at these as my phone dings.

They stopped dragging me as we stood there, I took out my phone and read a message from Sara.

We need you here now, there's a customer.

I smiled at the text; I was about to actually be disappointed if they just make a deal with someone without me.

I didn't have to respond as we started to walk again, and the kids made a noise about me coming, everyone stopped whatever they are doing and greeted me, I greeted all of them back as I walked towards the office inside the farmhouse, records of everything.

I knock on the door and open it; the first person that came in view was the same woman I saw at my cafe this morning; we both have the same expression.

I was shocked to see Ash again.

"Hi." She offered a small smile; I really hope I did not make her feel uncomfortable from the way I spoke to her just minutes ago.

"Hi." I spoke, matching her energy as I walk towards James and Sara who watches our interaction, I hug both of them, greeting before asking what's going on.

"This is Ash, I think you've already met?" Sara looks at me for confirmation which I give her and gestured for her to continue, but the latter smiled and look at the said customer.

"I would like to invest in your farm." She stated, very straight to the point. I was actually taken aback upon knowing this information.

I look at the couple who's looking at me expectantly.

"This time, can I have your number? I will be taking it into consideration." I spoke politely.

Ash studied me for some seconds before nodding her head.

I took the time to actually notice her this time, she wore a simple white shirt and a khaki trouser that made her look so casual, not too formal or informal. It's definitely not something someone should wear if they are going to offer this kind of offer, new investor is a crucial part in business.

"Here." She handed me a card that has her name on it and a contact number, it made me think how I actually need one.

"Right, thanks." I told her as she stood up, shakes James and Sara's hands before looking my way. She took some seconds again before actually offering to shake my hand, which made me feel kind of... uneasy?
