"Barbecue later, don't forget aunt cheesecake." I nodded my head as my nephew reminded me for the fifth time for today, I was done prepping for the display when I looked at my watch to see I got here so early.

I couldn't sleep for unknown reason; I was wide awake the whole time and staring at my ceiling.

"Need some coffee?" I look at my niece, who I didn't know arrived, a cup of coffee in hand that she handed me.

"Toasted bread? With chocolate and strawberries? And a weird looking egg at the side?" It was Mack, a large smile plastered on his face.

I put on a smile too and said my gratitude to them as I sat there in my cafe while they do my work, I was just enjoying some alone and peace time, with the rustling in the kitchen my background music, but nothing too loud. They are just preparing for today.

I checked my watch, and I was already making my way to the door to flip the door sign open and I was stunned to see Ash already standing there. She's got this small smile playing on her lips, I smiled back, larger than hers, she's a customer.

"Hi Ash, good morning to you." I spoke, my voice chirpy, very opposite with the behavior and tiredness I was feeling just seconds ago.

"Hi, good morning, Mila." She spoke, calmly. The tone she uses this time was not very cold.

"The usual?" I asked her which she nodded.

"Caramel Macchiato and empanada coming right up!" I spoke enthusiastically, feeling more energize, it's probably the coffee. It's hitting me hard right now.

"You're weird." I heard my niece spoke as I look at her, an eyebrow raises questioningly, urging her to continue. I waited for her to talk but instead.

"She's got a crush on that woman." I heard my nephew whispered that made me look at him with daggers.

"Ohhhhhh, that's why you don't have a man, you don't like them!" Eva spoke as if she just solves a million dollars mystery that made me facepalm myself.

"I don't have a crush on that woman, she's a customer, I have to be as enthusiastic as I can be and besides, I had coffee!" I told them as Shaid handed me the orders. Laughing as I tried reasoning with my niece and nephew.

"Here, enjoy your stay." I spoke as Ash look at me briefly before giving me her small smile and proceeded to look at the book she was reading, I didn't even notice she has one to begin with.

Customer poured in and I could tell you how my nephew dodges my side when the familiar voice rang through the cafe.

"Mr. Snide! Good morning!" Eva spoke, smiling politely as I turned on the speaker, playing a soft acoustic song from MYMP.

I chuckled to myself as I heard my customers humming to the song It Might Be You as I did my routine, checking the kids if they are okay and also making sure that we don't run out of ingredients, that brings me to the realization that I actually need to start working on that large order of Ash.

"Hey guys, I'll be getting ingredients, we will be busy for the next week." my workers attention landed on me before nodding their heads.

As I was about to walked past Mr. Snide, he spoke.

"Mila, meet Ms. Pinanueva, she's the teacher I was talking about." He spoke excitedly as I look at the young woman, probably my age as I offered her my hand that she gladly took, smiling sweetly at me.

She's nice.

"Mila?" I snapped out of my thoughts as I look to my side to see Ash looking at me with cold eyes.
