Aerith
I gasp.
Eli's mouth is on mine. He's kissing me, and I'm not sure what to think. I just don't understand.
I don't kiss him back. I don't move. I'm frozen.
"I'm not sure she's enjoying it, Elias."
A cold, and mysteriously deep voice interrupts us. I push Eli off of me and look up at the stranger.
He has dark brown hair, and he's tall like Eli, but he looks much more tough. I then catch his eyes in mine. The eye contact is intense, like it could shatter glass.
His entire being radiates evil. In a way it's like Eli, but not in the untrustworthy scoundrel type way. This man looks like he would be loyal to the death.
Then I realize it. It's like I'm looking at two different sets of eyes. The strangers right eye is a dark, misty gray. His left eye is what confuses me. It's a cold icy blue. Like Eli's.
I feel like it should look weird or intimidating, but it's oddly attractive. And maybe I like the feeling that someone else has something unique about them. That I'm not the only one. I have always felt weak because of my memory loss.
Eli finally speaks up, interrupting my thoughts. "Look who's finally back from the Island of Trisda," he says.
"I had some business to take care of," the man responds coldly, still not breaking his eye contact with me.
"Who are you?" I ask.
"Soren," he says. I look away, not knowing what to say next, but he breaks the new silence instead, "I would remove your hand from her waist, Elias."
"That isn't something that should worry you, Soren," Eli responds. He sounds annoyed.
"I've finished taking care of Govenor Dragna," Soren remarks, completely ignoring Eli's response. He then turns to me and says, "I'm sure thats someone you are familiar with."
I don't respond.
And then the room disappears. Soren disappears, so it's only me and Eli. I immediately know that he has used his ability to create illusions to isolate us. It reminds me of something my father does.
"Treasure, you need to listen. Don't ever trust him, don't talk to him. In fact, don't trust either of us. And you need—"
