All credit goes to Valkyrie_Cain22 for writing this chapter. You are amazing!!

Valkyrie glared at her back as she left the kitchen and went to join the others, leaving the door open ajar. Saracen walked in and she didn't realise she was crying until he wiped the tears away and gave her a concerned look.
"Saracen," she whispered and he looked her in the eyes.
"Yes Valkyrie?"
"I hate Avril Saffron. And I'm going to make her pay."
He chuckled but she didn't miss the flash of sadness in his eyes. That wasn't what he wanted to hear. He wanted to hear three different words. Three words that could change everything, but... Maybe Valkyrie wasn't ready for that just yet.
"We will stop her I promise," he murmured and pulled her into his chest. She gripped him tightly and he let her tears soak through his polo shirt. Then Skulduggery and Avril came back in. Skulduggery saw the two of them embracing and stiffened but then pretended not to notice. The rest of the Dead Men walked in but Valkyrie and Saracen had already pulled apart. She kept her head down to try and hide her tear streaked face and Saracen crossed his arms to cover the tears left on his shirt.
"What's happening guys?" Saracen asked.
"Avril knows a sigil that will give Skulduggery a full body facade!" Ghastly chirped, excited.
Skulduggery sat at one of the chairs with his back to Valkyrie as Avril pulled a scalpel out of her pocket.
Woah, she carries scalpels in her pockets?! Valkyrie thought.

As Avril set to work Valkyrie busied herself with cleaning up the kitchen area, even though it wasn't that dirty to start off with. About half an hour later, Avril straightened her back which made clicks as she stretched her muscles. Valkyrie's curiosity got the best of her and she moved around the table to get a good look at the intricate Sigils on his collarbone.
"Better than China," Anton nodded and Valkyrie huffed loudly. She gained a lot of stares and rolled her eyes. It took all of her strength to not just yell out, "she's a fake! She's playing you you! Why can't you see this?!" But of course they wouldn't take any real notice or care.
Because Avril Saffron is too good to be true. Valkyrie stomped back upstairs and slammed her bedroom door before locking it. She picked up her phone and dialled Tanith's number.
"Hey Val," she answered on the second ring.
"Tanith can you please pick me up?" Valkyrie rushed and she could almost hear Tanith's frown from the other end of the phone.
"Hun you okay?"
"Please I just need to get out of here."
"Okay... Where are you?" She asked cautiously and Valkyrie heard the roar of a motorbike starting up.
"Skulduggery's house."
Tanith immediately became more suspicious.
"Be there in five."
"Okay. Thank you Tanith."
"It's fine."

Valkyrie hung up and went to leave her room when the door was opened before her. There Saracen stood once more.
"You're leaving me so soon babe?" He chuckled and she grinned.
"I need to. I can't stand being here with her."
"Understandable. But you're still leaving me here all alone."
"Oh I'm sure you can go snog Dexter if you miss me."
He chuckled and pulled her close. Her breathing hitched in her throat and her heart pounded loudly in her chest. Is this what she wanted? To be with Saracen? Her mind told her it was wrong, but her heart told her that Saracen was her drug and she was already addicted.
So when Valkyrie asked herself if this was what she wanted. Her answer was hell yeah. She stood on her tip toes and smashed her lips to his. He stumbled back against the force she had thrown at him and put his hands firmly on her waist. Her fingers lost themselves in his hair and their tongues battled each other mercilessly. This was what she wanted.

This was what she needed.
