Not caring about the 20 or so gang members, I yanked open the door and strode across the room. I reached for the boss, grabbing the man by the collar of his shirt

Artemis POV

When I grabbed the man by his shirt collar, everyone in the room tensed. Yet, didn't make a move to stop me. I looked back at the man in front of me, and to my disbelief the guy was smirking at me. He looked at me with an ice-cold stare. I stared right back, my amber eyes burning with the anger. Men and their stupid egos. I tightened my grip on the collar, allowing it to constricted around his neck.

I inwardly yelped as an intense pain stabbed my inner wrist causing me to involuntarily release my captive. I noticed a blue bruise forming on my wrist. My eyes widened in surprise. How did this guy know such exact pressure points? The one he had used was very small. It took immense concentration and accuracy to find such a pressure point or it wouldn't have inflicted any pain. And he'd pressed it before I could react. Wary now of the foe in front of me I asked, "Are you the Boss of this gang?"

He didn't reply immediately but relaxed back into his couch examining me. I was out number. I need to keep a cool head in order to react quickly. But, being ignored was a huge sign of disrespect, my anger boiled red hot to the surface, I couldn't let it go.

"Answer me." I ground out through clench teeth.

"Should you be demanding in such a situation as this?" he asked. There was no underling threat to his words. It seemed like he was just gauging my reaction, which I gave full force.

"I can demand all I want when you had the audacity of taking out members of my gang. And for that,I promise you, you will pay." The ending was really lame but I didn't care. The jerk's smirk widen with my every word.

"Is that a challenge?" He asked

"You're damn right it is."I growled. He grinned and shaking his head slightly and crossing his arms as he looked back at me.

"Then get up and fight me." I declared loudly so he couldn't back down. His whole gang hanging on the conversation's every word. Ice man, as I had nicknamed him already in my head, grin widened as he got up off the couch.

"Stop grinning, it's creepy." I said, as an afterthought, suppressing shiver. He was already walking to the arena in the middle of the room. The previous fight had been paused by our argument and the fighters ducked under the ropes as their boss walked in.

"How 'bout we make a deal." Iceman called, his back facing me and I ducked into the ring. He turned around looking again straight into my eyes.

"A deal that entitles?" I asked suspicious of where this was going. He smirked at that comment.

"If you win I will apologize to your members and become your lackey." I grinned at the thought. That would bring his ego down a notch.

"But." He continued, "If I win, you'll become my lackey and do whatever I order you to do." He finished smirking; I suppressed a shudder at that.

"Okay, but the gang either Boss will not be involved in the bet. Only you or I will become a lackey. They are allowed to find a new boss for their gang." I replied in a final voice. His eyes widened slightly before returning quickly to his placid expression.

"Agreed, and I'll even let you attack with my back turned." He replied arrogantly. THAT BASTARD! I shouted in my head. Running at him, I  jumped, bringing my leg up aiming for a high kick to his head.In an instant I was on my back one of his knees pressing into my chest. He had dodged me, spun, and grabbed my ankle using my own forward momentum  to throw me to the mat into the mat. He locked the me there with a heavy knee to the chest.
