Author's POV
In the quiet, dimly lit lounge of Priyank's apartment, Ahaan and Priyank sat with their drinks, the city lights twinkling outside the large windows. The ambiance was relaxed, the soft hum of jazz music in the background.
"Ahaan, what's been going on with you lately?" Priyank asked, taking a sip of his whiskey. "You've seemed a bit off."
Ahaan leaned back, swirling the amber liquid in his glass. "Just life, man. It's been hectic. Balancing work and trying to figure out what I really want."
Priyank nodded thoughtfully. "Yeah, I get that. Sometimes it feels like we're just going through the motions, you know? Especially with all the family expectations."
"Tell me about it," Ahaan agreed. "But hey, what about you? How's everything with Eesha and Sanjukta?"
Priyank chuckled. "Eesha is amazing as always. She's been super busy with her projects but still finds time to hang out. Sanjukta, well, she's been a bit distant lately. But you know her, always up to something interesting."
Ahaan nodded, hiding a hint of a smile. "Yeah, Sanjukta is definitely something else. She's been... complicated."
"Complicated how?" Priyank asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Just... complicated," Ahaan replied, not wanting to delve into the details. "Let's just say she's got a lot going on."
Priyank leaned back, studying Ahaan. "You know, sometimes it feels like we're living in a bubble. All these parties, business meetings, and luxury. It gets overwhelming."
Ahaan sighed. "True. It feels like we're playing a part, not really living. But I guess that's the price we pay for being part of these families."
"Yeah, but we've got each other, right?" Priyank said with a grin. "And our amazing friends."
"Absolutely," Ahaan agreed, clinking his glass with Priyank's. "Here's to us and figuring out this crazy life."
"Cheers to that," Priyank said, smiling. "Let's just keep supporting each other through it all."
The night was alive with energy as Kiara, Eesha, and Sanjukta stepped into the chic rooftop bar, their laughter mingling with the music that pulsed through the air. They found a cozy corner and settled into the plush seats, ordering a round of cocktails.
"Cheers to a much-needed girls' night out!" Eesha exclaimed, raising her glass.
"Cheers!" Kiara and Sanjukta echoed, clinking their glasses together.
"So, what's new with you guys?" Sanjukta asked, taking a sip of her drink. "It's been a while since we had a night like this."
Eesha grinned. "I've been swamped with work, but I managed to squeeze in a weekend getaway. Much needed break! How about you, Kiara? You seem to be glowing these days."
Kiara laughed, shaking her head. "Oh, nothing much. Just busy with the family business. Trying to learn the ropes and all."
"Right, the family business," Sanjukta said, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "Or should we say, Yuvaansh?"
Eesha nudged Kiara playfully. "Come on, spill the beans. What's going on between you two?"
Kiara rolled her eyes but couldn't help but smile. "It's strictly professional, guys. We had a business trip to Italy, visited some art galleries. That's it."
"Strictly professional, huh?" Eesha teased. "You sure about that?"
"Positive," Kiara said firmly, though a hint of doubt lingered in her eyes.
