IT'S MY BIRTHDAY
13.06.2024

Two days later, Kiara found herself aboard a flight from India to Italy, her mind buzzing with thoughts of the recent events. The plane hummed softly around her as she reclined in her seat, trying to relax amidst the anticipation of what awaited her in Italy. The journey seemed longer than usual, each passing moment filled with the lingering uncertainty of Yuvaansh's confession.

As the plane touched down in Italy, Kiara couldn't help but marvel at the picturesque landscapes that greeted her through the window. The crisp Italian air greeted her as she stepped off the plane, and soon she found herself immersed in the sights and sounds of a new country. Yuvaansh was waiting for her at the airport, a warm smile on his face that instantly put her at ease.

"Welcome to Italy, Kiara," he greeted her with a hug, his voice tinged with excitement.

Kiara returned the hug, feeling a mix of nerves and curiosity. "Thank you, Yuvaansh. It's beautiful here."

They made their way to their hotel, situated in the heart of Rome. The bustling streets and historic architecture provided a perfect backdrop for their upcoming business project. Over the next few days, they immersed themselves in work during the day and explored the city's cultural treasures in the evenings.

One evening, as they sat in a quaint café after a productive day, sipping on espresso, Yuvaansh turned to Kiara with a thoughtful expression.

"You know, Kiara, I've been thinking," he began, his gaze searching hers. "About what I said before we left. About my feelings."

Kiara's heart skipped a beat, her mind racing with a mix of apprehension and curiosity. "Yes, Yuvaansh?"

He took a deep breath, his eyes never leaving hers. "I meant what I said, Kiara. I've grown fond of you, more than just as a colleague."

Kiara felt a rush of emotions – surprise, uncertainty, and a hint of excitement. She had known Yuvaansh for a while now, admired his ambition and charm, but this confession caught her off guard.

"I... I appreciate your honesty, Yuvaansh," she replied, choosing her words carefully. "But I need time to process this."

He nodded understandingly, his expression earnest. "Of course, Kiara. Take all the time you need. Our partnership is important, and I respect whatever decision you make."

They finished their coffee in silence, the weight of Yuvaansh's confession lingering between them as they walked back to the hotel. Kiara couldn't shake the feeling that this trip had taken an unexpected turn, one that could change everything between them.

One evening, after a particularly emotional day, Sanjukta found herself alone in her room, reflecting on recent events. She was startled by a knock on the door, and when she opened it, she found Ahaan standing there, his expression conflicted.

"Ahaan," she said softly, her voice tinged with surprise. "What are you doing here?"

"I needed to talk to you," he admitted, his gaze searching hers. "Can I come in?"

Sanjukta hesitated for a moment before stepping aside, allowing him to enter. They sat down awkwardly, the tension thick between them.

"I... I don't understand, Sanjukta," Ahaan began, his voice strained. "Why did you end things with me?"

Sanjukta sighed, her emotions raw. "Ahaan, you know why. It's always been about Eesha."

"But it's not like that," Ahaan insisted, his frustration boiling over. "I care about you, Sanjukta. Can't you see that?"

She shook her head, tears welling up in her eyes. "I can't keep pretending, Ahaan. I deserve someone who chooses me, without hesitation."

Ahaan's heart sank at her words, the weight of his unresolved feelings crushing him. "I... I don't know what to say."
