Author's POV
2 Weeks Later
Kiara walked through the office corridors, her stilettos clicking lightly on the marble floor. She had just finished her finance exam and felt like her brain was fried, but the thought of seeing Yuvaansh gave her a burst of energy. As she reached his office, she pushed the door open without knocking.
Yuvaansh looked up from his desk, his piercing blue eyes meeting hers, and a smirk formed on his lips. "Look who's here. How was the exam, Miss MBA?"
Kiara rolled her eyes but couldn't help smiling. "Don't even ask. I think I might've overthought every question."
She walked towards him, casually tossing her blazer onto the couch, revealing the soft sheen of her satin blouse. Yuvaansh leaned back in his chair, his gaze traveling up and down her figure. "You look stressed," he said, his voice dropping an octave, "I know exactly how to help with that."
Before she could respond, he was on his feet, closing the distance between them. His hands snaked around her waist, pulling her close. Kiara let out a soft gasp, feeling the tension between them shift. She tilted her head back as Yuvaansh's lips trailed a line of kisses down her neck.
"Yuvaansh..." she whispered, half-heartedly trying to pull away, "We're in your office. What if someone walks in?"
His hands tightened on her waist, lips grazing her ear. "Let them," he growled softly. "You think I care?"
Her heart raced as his lips found hers, and all thoughts of the exam, the office, and anything else vanished. His kiss was urgent, demanding, and Kiara melted into him. She ran her hands through his hair, pulling him closer, needing more.
Yuvaansh lifted her effortlessly and set her down on the edge of his desk. His hands slid up her thighs, fingers brushing the hem of her pencil skirt, pushing it up slightly. Kiara's breath hitched as he kissed her harder, his body pressing against hers.
"Yuv, wait..." she whispered, though her voice betrayed her, full of want.
He pulled back slightly, his forehead resting against hers, their breathing heavy. "You sure you want me to stop?" he teased, his lips brushing hers again.
She didn't answer with words. Instead, she tugged him closer, pulling his shirt out from his pants and slipping her hands beneath it, feeling the heat of his skin. "Shut up and kiss me," she murmured.
And just like that, the world outside his office ceased to exist.
Two weeks had passed since Kiara's fainting episode, and life seemed to be settling back into its normal rhythm. It took her nearly a week to fully recover, and while her mind was still haunted by lingering anxieties, having her friends around made all the difference. They rallied around her, ensuring she was never alone, helping her with notes, and even pushing her to get back on track with her studies.
With exams fast approaching, everyone was caught up in their preparation routines. Kiara focused harder than ever, spending long hours in the library, going over past papers, and making sure she had every concept down. Her friends studied with her in a steady routine, taking breaks together, sharing snacks, and encouraging one another during late-night study sessions.
One evening, as they sat in a cozy corner of the library, Sanjukta leaned over and whispered, "Who knew we'd be so disciplined? Exams are really working miracles."
Kiara laughed softly, flipping through her finance notes. "Miracles or torture? At this point, I can't tell the difference."
Eesha nodded, sighing as she rubbed her temples. "I think I'll have to go on a vacation after this. Somewhere with no books or assignments."
