Present Day, April 27th, 1889, according to the American calendar

The sounds of footsteps could be heard approaching down the corridor of cells. It was the first time someone had come down since Adeline was locked away. She was blindfolded and couldn't see a thing. Was someone else being locked away or was someone about to be released.

The moans of the prisoners became rapid as the last time anyone was fed or even received a drink was over a week.

The cells were freezing. And the shackles that cuffed the prisoners were attached in a way that caused bruising.

Preceding the quiet rustle of keys turning, Adeline shortly heard her cell being opened. "Adeline Terumai, its time that we address your crimes."

The shackles that were tied to her cuffs were let loose and made her fall to the ground. She was dragged off the ground by multiple guards into another room. She felt herself forced down into a seat and her cuffs being shackled to a solid concrete table.

Her blindfold was untied, revealing the guards exiting the windowless blue room. Sitting across from her was a man in black attire. To her surprised she recognized the man, or least she felt she seen him before. "We've met before, haven't we?"

She was met with a smack to the face. "You don't understand the position you're in right now. Weather you met me before or not does not relate to the crimes you've done. Your time out the cell will be for answering my questions alone."

The man leans in, "Let me remind you that you are being brought before the world's united government in the acts of the massacre that happened on April 24th on an island south of the continent of Internia."

Adeline gritted her teeth. She felt defenseless. She was defenseless as the cuffs she had on restricted her from using her magic. "Go to hell," She spouted

"When the day comes perhaps that will be where I end up, but until then I will be representing you due to my time, I had in Internia. There is no way you can get out of this innocent but if you're willing to work with me, we can do a plea deal to lesson your time in the prison."

Adeline gave the man a haunting stare. "You never got to know me, but a box isn't going to contain me."

The man continued, "Currently you're set for a public execution. The same way your mother was executed. All over the world they thought she was a hero, a savior, but she was nothing but a terrorist. Seems like the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree."

"You should be telling this to my sister. She's more of the savior type." She rebuttal.

"So is that you are admitting that she was an accomplice in your acts of murder. Or are your saying this was your sisters' doing. Which is it. Tell me everything that led you to this moment. What was your ploy in all of this? If you don't want to be executed, tell me the truth."

The truth was shrouded in a thick mist. Whatever truth she would say it would be ignored due to the fear the world had against her. A simple fact that she was a witch. Adeline didn't care. She was leaving here. Even if it meant without her strength. "The two events that lead up to this were the Gaia incident and the Ravenous Souls tournament. But what ignited the flame was when I was in the mountains of Olec with my sister."

In this world of law and judgment, who are the ones that are truly deemed guilty of evil. Transcendental beings that judge from afar. Demons that mask themselves in sin, or is evil only embedded in mankind's true nature? Regardless those without power are slaves to their fate.
