Adeline The Magician

Some people believe that when they die and before they pass onto their next life, they will sit in a place between heaven and earth. Their souls will seek repentance and to pay for the sins they committed. Many religions refer to this reality between the living and undead spirits as purgatory. However, for someone to be able to bounce back and forth between these realities they must be a knowledgeable and powerful necromancer.

Adeline felt her soul leave her body. Upon instinct she reached out, trying to stay within where her soul belonged. Failing, as gravity favored the sky, watching her physical body above escape her.

Her soul fell phasing through the ceiling. From the point on the steeple of the church, She fell into the sky feeling the rushing breeze cool her soul. She watched as the buildings of Foresta became as small as the stars in the sky. Even exceeding the heaven bond redwood trees. She could feel her nerves prick all over her physical self as she was overwhelmed by the height of the sky.

Upon the horizons around her, the round land of the world seem small. Adeline felt like the blue ocean sky would swallow her whole. "The sky is big," Adeline thought, "The world is so big."

The group hovered above the clouds towering over the world each of them projecting their spiritual self, "This is how vast my eyes are." Every time Adeline looked below, she felt like she needed to scream, making her wobble as she tried to keep her balance. It felt as if she was trying to stand on top of water.

Even moving felt like they were in water. It was uncomfortable to Adeline. The young girl had always hated the water. The trauma spike within her reminding her of a drowning incident.

Teresa pushed through the sky coming to Adeline's aid, "Relax just clear your mind. Just don't overthink it." Adeline preceded to follow her younger sister's lead taking slow concentrated deep breaths, eventually being able to fully take in the vast sky.

"Are you alright Adeline," Imani flew to Adeline and Teresa. Adeline tried keeping her usual timid composure, but she was unable to say anything as Imani's eyes shined with beautiful sky-blue sparkle left her speechless. "My first experience here overwhelmed me as well. Not to mention being a slave to the land as well. But once you truly become free can you see the true world, we live in." Imani pointed to the world beyond.
