As Tae and Jungkook embarked on their journey to her private villa, a sanctuary she used for solitary retreats, a convoy of their personal bodyguards followed discreetly in Tae's car. The drive began in silence, with the hum of the engine being the only sound, until Tae decided to break the quiet."How was your day? Busy?" she asked, glancing at him.
He sighed and nodded. "Yes, it was hectic."
Tae frowned slightly. "If you were busy, we could have rescheduled."
Jungkook shook his head, his gaze fixed on her. "Nah, I wanted to spend time with you."
Tae turned to find him already looking at her, tiredness evident in his eyes but a bunny smile showing his excitement for their date. Concerned, she asked him to pull over at a nearby rest area. Jungkook, though confused, complied.
"Get down," she instructed gently after they stopped. He obeyed, and Tae guided him to the passenger seat before taking the wheel herself.
"You didn't have to do this. You must be tired too," Jungkook protested as she started driving again.
Tae sighed. "Your eyes show how tired you are. It seems like you didn't sleep last night."
He nodded, admitting, "I had an important meeting this morning, so I was up late preparing."
Tae reached over to caress his hair. "Take a nap. I'll wake you when we get there."
Jungkook tried to argue, but one stern yet playful glare from her was enough to make him comply. With a pout, he turned to the side and lay down on the seat.
"Don't be sad, bun," Tae chuckled. "I just want you to rest so we can have quality time together when we arrive, okay?"
He turned back to her, open-mouthed. "Bun? What did you call me?"
Tae smiled. "Bun. You look like a sweet, innocent bunny. Don’t you like it?"
He blushed slightly. "No, I mean, I like it. I love it. Can I give you a nickname too?"
She nodded, and he grinned before she sternly yet playfully warned him to sleep. Despite his reluctance, he obeyed, and the rest of the drive was peaceful. Tae occasionally glanced at him, a soft smile playing on her lips.
Upon reaching the villa, Tae gently woke him. Jungkook stretched and yawned, looking around as he took in the surroundings. They entered the villa, and Tae led him to a room, instructing him to freshen up. Meanwhile, she checked the kitchen to ensure all the food she had ordered was ready. Everything was perfectly set.
When Jungkook joined her in the kitchen, his face fresh and his eyes more awake, Tae smiled at him. "Did you sleep well bun?" she asked.
He responded with a cheeky kiss on her cheek and a small thank you, causing her to blush. Jungkook chuckled at her reaction and noticed the delicious spread of food.
"I see you have some of the best chefs," he remarked, remembering how she had asked for his food preferences earlier.
They sat at the dining table, and when the maids began to serve, Tae dismissed them, confusing Jungkook.
"I'll serve us," she said, a hint of possessiveness in her voice. Jungkook smiled, finding her jealousy cute.
Tae, in her own way, wanted to experience serving him. She had never done anything like this before and felt it was an intimate gesture.
"Thank you," Jungkook said as she served him, appreciating the effort.
As they ate, he praised the food, "You indeed have the best cooks."
After lunch, they moved to the couch in the hall, with maids cleaning up the dining area. Jungkook turned to Tae, getting serious. "Are you okay with this marriage?"
Tae stared at him for a moment before replying, "I am okay, but I have some conditions. If you're okay with them, then I am too."
"Alright, I agree to your conditions," Jungkook said immediately.
Tae shook her head. "I want you to hear them first. And I want to discuss them in front of your family."
Jungkook frowned. "Why involve them? It's our marriage."
"My conditions involve my mother, so I want to talk to your parents as well."
Jungkook nodded, understanding. "Okay. We can meet them on the way back."
He informed his parents about their arrival, and Tae apologized for not telling him earlier. Jungkook smiled reassuringly. "Nothing to worry about."
Tae asked, "Can we get to know each other?"
Jungkook nodded. "Sure. I'll start. I'm Jungkook Jeon, CEO of Jeon Enterprises. I started the company when I was 19 with no one by my side, and now it's one of the top 10 companies in India."
Tae smiled, impressed. "Wow, you started at 19. That's great. I'm Taehyung Kim, CEO of Kim Industries. I started at 21 with the help of my friends. Now, they have their own companies, and we've all made it to the top 10."
Jungkook looked at her in awe. "That's amazing."
They spent the next few hours getting to know each other better.
They continued talking about their daily lives, hobbies, and ongoing projects, carefully avoiding sensitive topics. As the time to leave approached, Tae began to feel drowsy from the day’s activities. She nodded off in the passenger seat as Jungkook drove them back to his house.Jungkook glanced at her sleeping peacefully and smiled, driving carefully to ensure her nap remained undisturbed.
