Angel Dust woke up the next morning feeling an unfamiliar calm. The weight of last night's turmoil lingered, but Husk's warmth beside him was a reassuring anchor. Memories of Husk's confession echoed in his mind, bringing a small, hopeful smile to his lips. Stretching and yawning, he slowly woke up, his heart beginning to mend.
Husk was already awake, sitting at the small table in the room with a cup of coffee in hand. He looked up as Angel stirred, his eyes softening with a mix of affection and concern.
"Morning," Husk greeted, his voice gentle yet filled with unspoken emotion. "How are you feeling?"
Angel sat up, running a hand through his messy hair. "Better," he admitted sincerely, his eyes reflecting gratitude. "Thanks for last night, Husk. I don't know what I would've done without you."
Husk's lips curved into a small, tender smile. "You don't have to thank me, Angel. I'm just glad you're okay," he said, the depth of his concern evident in his voice.
Angel nodded. He looked down, his hand instinctively going to his growing belly, a mix of anxiety and determination in his eyes. "So, what now?" he asked softly, his voice tinged with uncertainty and hope.
Husk took a sip of his coffee, his expression thoughtful. "Now, we figure out how to move forward," he said, his voice steady and reassuring. "Trying to get Valentino off your back. We need to focus on keeping you safe and healthy."
Angel's gaze remained fixed on his belly. "Yeah, you're right," he said softly, his voice tinged with a mix of fear and resolve. "I need to take care of myself and the baby."
Husk reached across the table, his hand covering Angel's. The touch was warm, firm, and grounding. "We'll get through this." he promised, his voice filled with unwavering determination. "You're not alone anymore."
A sense of hope bloomed in Angel's chest as he looked into Husk's eyes.
"You really mean that, don't you?" Angel asked, his voice barely above a whisper, the vulnerability in his tone making the moment even more intimate.
Husk nodded, his grip on Angel's hand tightening slightly. "I do, Angel," he affirmed, his eyes never leaving Angel's.
Angel felt a tear slip down his cheek, a tear of relief, hope, and newfound strength. "Thank you, Husk," he said, his voice thick with emotion. "I... I don't think I've ever felt this supported before."
Husk's thumb brushed away the tear, his touch gentle and caring. "You deserve to be supported, Angel. You deserve to be loved and cared for," he said, his voice filled with a quiet intensity that spoke volumes.

Charlie paced nervously in the hotel's common area, her worry palpable. The tension hung thick in the air as the residents of Hazbin Hotel shared her concern for Angel's well-being. Alastor observed from a distance, his radio dial eyes occasionally flickering with static, while Nifty busied herself with cleaning, her anxious glances betraying her concern.
Vaggie approached, her expression mirroring Charlie's anxiety. "Any word from your dad yet?" she asked, her voice low and urgent.
Charlie shook her head, the tightness around her eyes revealing her stress. "Not yet," she replied. "But I trust him. He said he'd handle Valentino, and I believe he will."
Vaggie placed a reassuring hand on Charlie's shoulder, squeezing gently. "You've done everything you can, Charlie. Now we just have to wait and support Angel as best we can."
As if on cue, the phone in Charlie's pocket buzzed. Her heart skipped a beat as she quickly pulled it out, her hands trembling slightly when she saw her father's name on the screen. With a deep breath to steady herself, she answered the call.
