As Angel and Husk arrived back at the hotel, their friends greeted them with a mix of relief and concern. Charlie hurried over, her face showing just how worried she was as she took in Husk's beaten-up appearance.

"Husk, what happened?" Charlie exclaimed, her voice full of worry as she looked closely at his injuries. Her eyes scanned the bruises and cuts on his face and arms, trying to understand what he had been through.

Alastor, who had been watching from a distance, stepped forward, raising an eyebrow. He seemed very interested in the commotion and walked over to get a better look. His eyes narrowed as he saw the extent of Husk's injuries, and a flicker of curiosity danced in his gaze.

"Well, what do we have here?" Alastor remarked, his tone tinged with amusement as he regarded Husk with mild interest. "Looks like someone's had a rough night," he said, clearly intrigued by the situation.

Husk merely grunted in response, trying to brush off their concerns. His expression was guarded, and he waved his hand dismissively. "It's nothing," he replied gruffly, his voice rough with exhaustion. "Just a little run-in with a shitty demon."

Charlie didn't seem satisfied with his answer, her worry still evident. "Husk, you're hurt. We need to make sure you're okay," she insisted, her voice softening but still firm.

Husk shook his head, trying to downplay the situation. "I'll be fine," he said, though his tired eyes told a different story. "I've been through worse. Don't worry about me."

Alastor's interest didn't wane. "A run-in with a demon, you say?" he mused, a smirk playing on his lips. "Sounds like quite the adventure. Care to share more details?"

Husk shot him a look, clearly not in the mood to explain. "Maybe some other time, Alastor," he muttered, his patience wearing thin. "Get the fuck off..."

Angel, standing nearby, looked between his friends, feeling a mixture of gratitude and guilt. He knew Husk had gotten hurt because of him, and it weighed heavily on his mind. With a sigh, the spider stepped forward and placed a comforting hand on Husk's shoulder. He met Husk's gaze with a reassuring smile.

"It's alright, Husk," Angel said softly, his voice filled with gratitude. "It was Kaith, the cat demon I had to work with recently," Angel began, his tone heavy with resignation. "Husk heard him and Valentino talking, and then Husk confronted Kaith."

The group listened closely as Angel recounted the confrontation with Kaith. His words painted a vivid picture of the tense exchange that had unfolded.

"I saw them fight and tried to stop it," Angel continued, his voice shaking slightly as he remembered Kaith's cruel taunts. "But Husk stood up to him. He... he protected me."

Husk shifted uncomfortably under the weight of Angel's gratitude, his gaze fixed on the ground as he wrestled with his own emotions. Charlie smiled and said, "I'm just glad that you both came home safe."

Husk nodded. He then turned to head towards his room, hoping to get some much-needed rest.

As the group dispersed, the atmosphere in the hotel began to calm down. Despite the concern, there was a shared sense of relief that Angel and Husk were back, and they could all focus on moving forward together.

After the rough events of the day, Husk decided to take a much-needed shower to wash away the physical and emotional grime that clung to him like a suffocating shroud. With a heavy sigh, he stepped into the bathroom, letting the warm water cascade over his weary form, soothing his aching muscles and calming his troubled mind. Husk allowed himself to relax for the first time in what felt like forever. The hot water worked its magic, washing away the physical remnants of the day's trials and tribulations, leaving him feeling refreshed and renewed.
