Chapter Six: Questions and Whispers

The camp was quieter than usual the next morning, anticipation hanging in the air. We would soon embark on our journey to Radiantia, and the reality of it all was beginning to settle in. As we packed our belongings, I felt an urgent need to learn more about this new land and its powerful rulers.

I found Christian and Jackrina near the edge of the camp, both lost in their own thoughts. Taking a deep breath, I approached them, walking slowly.

"Christian, Jackrina," I called softly, drawing their attention. "What do you know about Radiantia? And about its beast, the Celestial Alta?"

Christian shrugged, looking thoughtful. "Not much, I'm afraid. Radiantia has always been a cloud of mystery. It's said to be a place of immense beauty and magic, but details are scarce they are very selective of who they allow in."

Jackrina adjusted her glasses, her eyes gleaming with curiosity. "The Celestial Alta is the most powerful of all the eight beasts, that's for sure. It's the reason Radiantia is so formidable. The beast is said to possess unparalleled strength and wisdom, and it's what makes the Solstice brothers unbeatable."

I nodded, absorbing this information. "And what about the Solstice brothers themselves? What do you know about them?"

Jackrina's expression turned slightly mischievous. "Oh, the Solstice brothers? Well, I've heard they're out of this world gorgeous. They have this striking appearance—silver-blond hair that seems to capture both the moon and the sun, and their eyes... an amethyst color, deep and mesmerizing."

Christian chuckled, shaking his head. "Leave it to Jackrina to focus on their looks. But she's right. The Solstice brothers are said to be incredibly powerful, each one a master of different magical disciplines. They rule Radiantia with an iron grip, and their bond with the Celestial Alta makes them nearly invincible."

"Do you think they'll be involved in our training?" I asked, trying to imagine what it would be like to meet these legendary figures.

Jackrina shrugged. "Who knows? They might be. Radiantia's training programs are the best in all the lands, so it wouldn't surprise me if the Solstice brothers took a personal interest in some of the students."

Christian nodded in agreement. "Regardless, we need to stay focused. Radiantia is a land of opportunity, but it's also filled with challenges. We have to be prepared for anything."

I appreciated their insights, even if they left me with more questions than answers. The Solstice brothers sounded intimidating and awe-inspiring, but I couldn't let that distract me. My mission was to uncover which brother I needed to marry to stop the dark force threatening my home.

As we continued our preparations, I found myself deep in thought. The journey ahead would be difficult, but I felt a growing sense of determination. Radiantia held the key to saving my people, and I wasn't going to let anything distract me.

The morning air was crisp and filled with the buzz of excitement as we prepared to embark on our journey to Radiantia. Our group of fifty chosen participants gathered at the edge of the camp, each of us carrying the weight of our hopes and dreams. The journey ahead was long, and none of us knew exactly what awaited us in Radiantia.

As we boarded the caravans that would take us to the first leg of our trip, I took a moment to observe the new faces around me. Besides Christian and Jackrina, I noticed three individuals who stood out.

First was Melinda, a girl with vibrant brown hair and brown amber eyes. She had an air of confidence about her, and I could see her exchanging friendly banter with others as she helped load the supplies. Melinda had a warm smile that seemed to put everyone at ease, and I found myself drawn to her energy it gave me hope.
