"light me up." i spoke, a single cigarette placed in between my rosy lips, my ass planted on some random barstool. my head turned to timothee, who had a lighter in his pocket. he looked at me disappointed. "it's just a cigarette." i shrugged as he let out a sigh lighting it for me.

i smiled as a thank you before inhaling the tobacco, a feeling of slight relaxation ran through me as i led my elbows on the bar table. timothee lit up his cigarette as he turned to me.

"you know you can talk to me right?" he spoke his voice shook hinting he was slightly worried "yeah i know." i nodded not daring to look at him otherwise i will start crying. "she was a big part of my life too." he spoke as i nodded, i hated talking to anyone about my feelings especially about this.

i wouldn't even talk to liam about it, everytime he tried i shot him down. no one i knew i would talk to, even if i didn't know them, i don't know why maybe there was something wrong with me i don't know. "anyway, we shouldnt be sad. its your birthday." he sighed before smiling.

"i guess so, it doesn't feel like it at this point." i took a sip of my drink placing it back on the table "come on you cant say that." he demanded placing his hand on my shoulder slightly squeezing it. "liams out of town doing, i dont know. i dont have any parents to celebrate with and my best friend is dead. can it get any worse." i huffed extingushing my cigarette in the ash tray.

"why where's that twat gone now?" timmy asked as i let out a breathy laugh, he never liked him especially since that time back in the day when they decided to fight. "thats the thing i dont fucking know, he just said he'll be back." i rolled my eyes, "yeah your boyfriend leaving you for the day is bad but him forgetting your birthday i guess thats a step too far, innit." i spoke before i downed my drink in one.
