Here's the next part of Chapter 1:

Maya's eyes fluttered open again, this time to find Axel's concerned face inches from hers. He helped her sit up, and she noticed a small, leather-bound book in his hand.

"What's that?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

"A journal," Axel replied. "Yours, I think. It was next to you when we found you."

Maya's mind raced as she took the journal from him. The cover was worn, the pages yellowed with age. She opened it, and a piece of paper slipped out, carrying a note in her own handwriting:

"Remember, Maya. Remember who you are. Remember what they took from you."

Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes as she read the words, over and over, trying to decipher their meaning. Axel's gentle touch on her shoulder brought her back to the present.

"Maya, we need to talk. About your memories. About what's happening to you."

She looked up at him, and the room seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them, suspended in a sea of memories. Maya's heart raced as she realized the truth: she was not just remembering her past, she was reliving it. And Axel was somehow connected to it all.

"Tell me," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Axel's eyes locked onto hers, and Maya felt the familiar sensation of memories flooding her mind. But this time, they were not her own. They were Axel's, and they held secrets she was not prepared for
