-first day-

Kiyoshi and Kori were just like any happy couple, they were together in the thick and thin and nothing could separate them. They're getting married very soon! Everything was perfect this morning, they were moving some of their belongings in their new house until the accident...

As Kiyoshi was carrying some boxes inside the house, they were both so excited about finally living with each other.
But a loud scream startled them both, it wasn't normal, definitely not human. Kiyoshi quickly stood in defense in front of Kori "stay here" he commanded her before checking around the neighborhood to see the source of the sound, he's a police officer after all.

He heard another scream, it was a plead for help this time, and when he came close he saw what no one would ever want to see. He pulled the trigger of the gun, what he saw was something unrealistic at all, there was a zombie eating someone violently.

The person ran away with an injured shoulder and the zombie was died on the ground, Kiyoshi looked over at the boy "are you okay kid?" Suddenly the boy started attacking him and coming closer, he was acting like a violent dog. Kiyoshi held him on the ground and tried to call the rescue team because this was getting out of hand.
Kori in the other hand was nervous but she stayed inside like Kiyoshi told her to, she heard the screams and him shouting and the thoughts filled her mind with possibilities of what's happening, but none were like what she's about to see. She got out and she saw Kiyoshi holding down someone under him, she looked at the person "shoot him already!" She told Kiyoshi while yelling at him but he kept him down "i don't think that's the best solution, it's still a person" the rescue team finally came and took the person with them, putting a dog muzzle on him like he's a dog. Kiyoshi turned to the rescue team "could it be a zombie, and where did this start from?" The team had no answer to his question "we're not sure, but we need someone to study this" the man said, Kiyoshi nodded in agreement and turned back to look at Kori, his serious manner quickly turned into a fatherly smile "it's okay, my love" he told her while he's squeezing her hand and trying to lighten the mood.

At night, Kori was resting in Kiyoshi's arms peacefully, she noticed a small scratch on his hand and asked him "darling, what is that?" Kiyoshi glanced at the corner of his eye at the cut "Mmm it's just a small cut, dear. Don't worry about it" Kori just nodded "are you gonna become a zombie and eat me?" She teased him, Kiyoshi laughed at her, his laugh echoing in the empty room "I'd rather eat my own flesh just to keep you alive, my love" his statement made Kori go silent "you mean it?" She asked while tilting her head
"A hundred percent" he replied, Kori rested her head on his chest, they both fell asleep peacefully, without knowing what the future holds for them and the consequences of their actions.
