"Pixal, could you please pull up the picture of Kalmaar?" Wu asked. Pixal nodded and clicked a few buttons, and a picture popped up. I studied the picture carefully, and decided the purple squid was definitely Kalmaar. Same grumpy expression, same ugly face. Yes, it was really him.
"How did Kalmaar survive? Wojira was put back to sleep after Nya knocked out the Wave Amulet!" Kai wondered. I glanced at Jay, and he was pacing back and forth.
"What's wrong?" I asked him. Jay stopped pacing and scratched his head.
"I attacked Kalmaar before you defeated Wojira. It was a foolish attack. It didn't do anything but take a bit of Kalmaar's energy. When Wojira swallowed him, I saw Benthomaar jump into the water. When Nya defeated Wojira, he spit out Kalmaar. I think Benthomaar saved him."
"Why would Bentho do that?" Cole inquired.
"He cares for his brother, Cole. Benthomaar does not have a biological family any more. Except for his brother, of course," Zane answered.
"We should head to Merlopia. Maybe Benthomaar knows how Kalmaar started attacking the city again!" Kai exclaimed.
"But shouldn't we stay here and take on Kalmaar?" Cole asked. "I wanna fight!"
"We should split up," Lloyd suggested. "Cole, Jay, Kai, and Pixal will stay here and fight Kalmaar. Nya, Zane, Wu, and I will head to Merlopia. Good luck, guys."
Pixal jumped out of her chair. "I've made a few tweaks in the last twenty four hours. I've repaired the propellers, and added a few interior details."
"Thanks, Pixal. Do you have a manual we can use?" Zane asked. Kai gave him a weird look.
"Manual? Pfft. This should be as easy as cake!" He said.
Cole licked his lips. "Mmm... cake."
"Focus, Cole," I rolled my eyes. Cole snapped out of his trance and grinned sheepishly.
We drove out to the harbor. Pixal pressed a button on her remote, and the Hydro Bounty emerged from the ocean. Lloyd, Zane, Wu, and I stood on the ramp, while the other four stood on the harbor, waving. I hugged each of them, and we boarded the Hydro Bounty.
Zane sat down in the commander's seat. I sat at helm control, and Lloyd sat at the propeller seat. Wu stood behind us.
"Propeller is go!" Lloyd announced.
"Helm is go!" I added.
"Controls are go!" Wu called. Zane stood on his chair.
"Start the engines! Prepare the helm! We're going to Merlopia!"
