𝐌𝐀𝐘 𝟐𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏Soft cries and sniffles sounded throughout the medium sized bedroom as Simone continued to stare down at the numerous amount of text messages that plagued her phone. It was all the same, a continued plea from the man that she had given all of herself to for the last three years.
Finding out that Durk had cheated on her and had been cheating on her for the better half of their relationship through an interview. He hadn't even had the slightest bit of courage to tell her before she found out via social media.
To think that she had held him down when he didn't have shit. Held him down the numerous amounts of time he went to jail or when he didn't have a dime to his name - wanting to jump start his rap career.
It didn't mean a damn thing to him. She didn't mean a damn thing to him.
For the last two hours, she had been ignoring all phone calls and text messages from not just him but from everyone. Her friends, his friends, hell even her own mother had tried to call her.
But Lord knows that she didn't want to deal with a soul in the current moment. Because hearing an over abundance of 'I told you so's' just wasn't in her plans for the moment.
Before she could let another tear fall - her phone began to ring again. It was once again the group chat that she had with her two best friends. Two people that she knew wouldn't give up. So against all better judgment, she answered, knowing that the next step would be them showing up at her home.
"Thank God, I was so worried about you. You know if you didn't answer I would have called the police to do a check on you." Lanae took a deep and over dramatic breath. Her act made Simone chuckle a little as she wiped her face.
"Look, I can come get you right now and we can go right to his house and beat up some of those cars. I know how to make it look like an accident too." Cheyenne chimed in.
She was the more serious friend out of the three of them. She was also the one who couldn't stand Durk. There wasn't one bone in her body that liked him. But she supported Simone's choices.
No matter how foolish those choices might have been.
"Breaking his stuff won't make me feel better." Simone sighed as she climbed out of the bed, "I just didn't think that he of all people would have done something like this."
"No - that's a lie. I can see him doing something like this but I guess I just thought he would have given me the bare minimum and told me before I had to see and hear it about it all over the internet." Simone corrected herself as she set her phone up on the kitchen counter.
