I wake up with a warm body beside me. I roll over, and look at him for a few moments, before eventually closing my eyes and falling back asleep.
When I wake up again, Adam is gone and I'm left all alone in my bed. I sit up, looking around my room. I see my clothes on the floor and remember last night. And what we did, together.
I smile at the thought, then look over to check the time. The clock on my bedside table reads 9:03am. The team said to meet up at the park at 1pm to play a little street hockey, so I figured I had lots of time to get ready.
I slept for another 30 minutes before getting up and going downstairs to have breakfast. I walk into the kitchen to see my older brother pouring himself a bowl of cereal.
"Morning Goose." He says, with a smirk. I just roll my eyes and walk over to our fruit bowl. He's called me Goose ever since I joined the Ducks, and he just loved to annoy me with it.
"Yeah whatever." I scoff and grab an apple and walk to the living room.
When it neared 12:30pm, I went up to my bedroom to change and grab my rollerblades. I put on a longer pair of jean shorts, with a black tank top. I opened my bag, making sure my elbow pads, helmet, and knee pads were inside. I grabbed my rollerblades off my floor and put them in there as well.
I walked downstairs to where we hung our car keys, grabbing mine and heading out.
I arrived at the park, mostly everybody there. I grab my bag from the passenger seat and get out. I notice Adam just arriving as well, so I walk up to him.
"Hey Adam." I spoke in a soft voice, smiling. He looked over and nodded then started a jog to the rest of the group. 'What the fuck was that? Did he just ignore me?' I walk towards the group as well, eyeing Adam.
Still watching him, I sit down and take my equipment out of the bag.
"Hey girlie." Connie greeted, skating over to the bench I sat on. "What's wrong?" She asked, noticing the expression on my face."
"If I tell you something, you have to promise not to tell the rest of the ducks." I say, tying my rollerblades. I stop and look up at her and she nods. "Me and Adam, did it. Last night at my house."
"Oh my god finally! I was wondering when you guys would release that tension!" Connie whisper yelled excitedly.
"It would be great if he was speaking to me. He left without saying goodbye or anything, and he won't talk to me. Hell he can't even look at me apparently." I explained, and I waved my hand in his direction, where his back was turned towards me.
"Maybe he's embarrassed about something. Did your brother catch him?" Connie's eyes go wide, and so do mine for a second before I remember.
"No he couldn't have. He worked the night shift right up until 9am. They wouldn't have crossed paths." I said, tying my other rollerblade. I stand up, putting my elbow pads on as well as my helmet.
