As I got ready for a date with Guy, my stomach started feeling funny. I passed it off as nerves as we had only started dating, and even though we had been friends for a while before, it was still nerve wracking.
I finished doing my hair and walked into my closet to find what I wanted to wear. I decided on jeans and an oversized shirt that happened to belong to my brother.
Guy said we were just going mini-golfing so to wear something casual. I put it on and walked over to my mirror, making sure it looked right together.
I heard a knock on the door, so I grabbed my phone, stealing a mint to settle my stomach, and walked around the corner and opened the door.
I got to the door and opened it, Guy standing there patiently, a bouquet of flowers in hand. I smiled immediately, recognizing them to be my favorite flowers.
"Aww Guy, you didn't have to." I told him, taking the flowers and walking to my empty vase that sat on my nightstand.
"I know I didn't have to, but I wanted to. Pretty girls deserve pretty flowers." Guy remarked, following me. We walked into the bathroom, I filled the vase with water and cut the bottoms of the stems off before plunking it in.
"They are beautiful." I whispered, looking over at him. My stomach swirled again, but I passed it off again as nerves because he was already looking at me.
"Let's go mini-golfing." He said excitedly, and so we walked out of my dorm and it's building and to his car, him opening the door for me, and drove off towards Put Palace.
As we stepped onto the fourth hole, I began to feel hot and overall just not the best, but I didn't want to ruin the date so I kept quiet, thinking it might just go away. I told myself it was just first date jitters, and left it at that.
I hit my bright pink golf ball, and we watched as it made its way towards the hole but stopped short of it.
"Dang it." I whispered in frustration, Guy chuckling as he heard it.
He set his ball down, swung and hit it, the ball taking the same course as mine. As it got closer to mine, I prayed that his would hit it and move mine closer, and it did.
"Thanks Guy." I smiled but my smile faded just as fast as I felt it. I looked around, finding a trash can and bolted for it. I had just made it over when I puked.
"Oh y/n!" Guy came up from behind and put a hand on my back. "I'll be right back, I'm going to go get you some water."
I heard Guy run off, and when I finally felt a little better, I stopped and sat down on the bench beside the garbage can. A few moments later, he came out with a soda cup and some napkins.
"Here, sip at this." He asked, taking a napkin and dabbed lightly around my mouth. I took a few sips of the water, the cold feeling good. "Let's get you back to the dorms."
"My roommate has someone over tonight, I told her she could since I wasn't supposed to be there. And I can't go back to my house since I'm supposed to sign back in at the dorms tonight." I whispered, and he nodded.
"Okay I'll just take you to my dorm then." He said, giving a slight smile and then helping me up and back to his car.
As we got into his dorm, he cleared off his bed quickly and then helped me into it.
"I'm sorry for ruining our date." I apologized, to which he shook his head.
"It's alright, we can have another one." He reassured, sitting down next to me on the bed.
"Still, I'm sorry."
After a few beats, I worked up the courage to ask.
"Will you lay with me? I'll understand if you say no." I asked, but I barely even finished my sentence and he was already climbing over me to lay next to the wall.
He put his arm around me, and lifted his other one to start playing with my hair.
"So, is this the best first date or what?" I joked, which he chuckled at.
"Any first date with you was going to be the best first date."
