An Important Message

Ray
There are times when I wished Carla would retire and I could retire as well. She has done enough for her country and so have her daughters and I. She promised if there was another attempt on her life or ours she would turn her resignation in. I am tapping my fingers on the bedside table looking at her as she is compiling her last report on the poisoning. I hand her the papers that she printed out to resign. She looks at them and sits them aside just as Ashley and Anastasia walk in in their civilian clothing.

Ashley
Dad is still wearing his uniform and mom is reading something intently. I peek at it and it says letter of resignation on it. However it doesn't appear she is going to sign anything.

Carla
Ashley frowns as she sees I am hesitating signing the resignation papers in my hand. I promised all three of them to resign if another attempt of my life came to be. It's hard to give up my career.

Anastasia
Mom you swore to us you would resign and you always taught us to keep our word, are you going back on your word? She grabs the pen and signs all the right slots and dad takes them and scans them and send them off to her executive director. Ashley and I resigned because we didn't want to sign on for another tour of duty. We were assigned to protect mom and dad. We failed mom. Why they put all four of us together is beyond me. We discovered who poisoned mom and why.

I look over the file and tell her she was lucky this time. I have recommended that she resign her position and I am not allowing her to continue on her service. She is at retirement age and can get full benefits. She's not happy but the poison she ingested caused damage to her heart, mild but enough to sideline her. When she came in she was heavily armed and they had to lock up all her possessions. Her medical files are encrypted and I was called immediately and they were lucky that her family brought her go bag. That is where they located the bottle of water that was laced with the poison.

I went through all the go bags and all the bottles of water were laced with poison, but different kinds in each one. Someone did that hoping they might all drink the water and assume it was the same poison Senior Steele drank and vice versa. I have went through everything and dusted for prints and found none, not even the primaries. I think they know they don't leave fingerprints though. But we need something to catch the person behind this.

Carla
I hate that I have to resign and my family is celebrating their freedom to live peacefully and in Seattle of all places. Anastasia and Ashley like it here and I think I know why. They hoping to join the social circuit here. They also want to meet up with their friend Barney from the dark web. The guy uses a horrifying image as his profile picture.

I know my girls it is all about Barney, I picture a purple dinosaur. I am not sure if that is his real name at all. I know what the girls are up to at all times. As a father and their boss I would never let them risk their lives or ours. I am happy to settle anywhere at all. I do like being around water. So I have Anastasia and Ashley scope out places for us to live. They sent me numerous listings and very detailed pictures. One just happened to be Escala and it is highly secure and has the helipad. Then there are places by the water and they have a boathouse.

Carla
I look through them and find exactly what I want. It is being auctioned off and it has everything we want. I am released just in time to go to the auction. We have no time to get dressed and I will need to get my go bag and so will the others. They were asked to bring theirs in as well.
We make it in time to sign up for the auction and provide them with a copy of our bank statement. Love the apps so I email and text the balance of the account. I think I saw a surprised look on their faces. I guess the military garb confused them into thinking we were poor. Some people were wealthy before they entered into the military. I don't have to tell them my life's story and I choose not to. Nosy people should do their jobs and not question someone's veracity. After all they saw my balance on my account. It will be transferred immediately after we will the auction. I look around and find out who the real owner of the place is at this point. An elderly couple is asking questions and I hear them asking to get something from the house and the person refuses to let them. They will get it after I win the auction.

Anastasia
Mom definitely wants this place and we do some reconnaissance and I think there are very few serious buyers. This is the place mom wants, so I earmark money for upgrades that need done. I know exactly where they will go and who can help with it.

Ashley
I look at the dock and the boathouse, then the other houses on the property. The pool is in good shape but the pool house needs work. I look up the best construction company and the best reviews, then I check bbb to make sure no complaints are made. I contact Barney but he is in the middle of a high stakes on line game. He is ahead and he will get back to me when he has won. That could be days.
