Chapter 2

    I am currently laying down in the middle of a field, waiting for Minato to come. This morning he finally agreed to personally teach me and train me in chakra and the Ninja basics. I stared up at the clouds, thinking about my time here in Kohona. I've only been here for a week, everyone stares at me but I have never been mistreated. Probably because I'm the adopted daughter of Minato. He's so kind everyone trusts him, I smirked at the thought of when I first met Kushina.

* Flashback *

Minato and I walked towards where I would be stay for the rest of my life. Minato suddenly hesitated to open the door.

"Are you ok ... D-dad?" I stuttered out on the dad part.

He glanced at me and smiled, "Yeah." He grabbed the door knob and opened the door, he let me through and then walked in him self closing the door behind him. I slowly walked forward, gazing around my new home.

"Minato your ba-... " a lady with pretty lady with beautiful red hair walked into view. She stopped half way through the sentence and stared at me, shocked. Getting nervous I bowed down stiffly.

"H-Hello mom, it's nice to meet you!" I said a little bit loud, Kushina stared at me surprised. Then she narrowed her eyes at Minato.

"Minato, would you like to explain?" She said a little too sweetly at him. I stood up straight, my ears bent back a little in my nervous state.

Minato laughed nervously and smiled, "Honey. This is Shiroi, she is our new adopted daughter."

  I smiled nervously, does she hate me? Oh no, I don't want my new Mom to hate me. Kushina gave me a genuine smile, and knelt down in front of me.

   "It is nice to meet you Shiroi, I welcome you into our home. Though I would like to have a little talk with your father." She said and gave a scary glare at Minato.

"Minato... I don't know what possessed you to make this big decision without me, but your lucky she is just too cute." Kushina, gushed at the end and hugged me to her chest.

Minato visibly relaxed, and Kushina pulled back, "Well I made dinner, lets all go eat." I smiled brightly and nodded.

* Flashback over*

  I had later learned not to piss off my mother. Minato had told me back in the day they called her the Red Hot Habanero cause of her killer temper, if she had not let it go that Minato had adopted me with out asking her first... I shivered, it's too scary to even think about. I heard a rustling and the wind blew with a familiar smell of citrus orange, my face broke into a large smile. I sat up and looked over to where the smell was coming from and saw Minato walking out. I stood up and walked over to meet him, my excitement increasing and my tail wagging back and fourth faster.

"What are you gonna teach me Dad?! Is it gonna be some cool kickass ninja jutsu?!" I said excitedly.

Minato chuckled, "Woah hold there kiddo. We have to learn the basics first then we'll get on to the 'kickass' moves." My ears bent back in disappointment but quickly disappeared.

"Ok lets do it." I sat down cross legged and stared up at Minato. He smiled and sat in front of me.

"First let me explain chakra. Chakra is a balance of your spiritual energy and your physical energy. It's the essential point in which you need to preform jutsu's." Minato said and continued on with explaining how chakra works, what it is, where it came from and so on and so forth.

"Now fold your hands like this," he said and showed me with his hands so I copied him, "and focus on building up your chakra."

I looked up at him, "How do I know if it's even chakra, not just the munchies?"
