"You're not the same man I left behind, Jimin. What happened to you?" She whispered, unshed tears clinging to her eyes as she stared at who was once the charming guy standing before her.

"A lot actually. And none of it should concern you." The man replied, closed off and dismissive words.

Hwang Y/n, the epitome of sunshine, who'd make anyone feel happy just by looking at her own smile. She is an easygoing person anyone would love to befriend with. Known to be a beauty with brains.

However, behind a girl with the brightest smile lives a girl who has been broken by the one person she had never expected from. She thought she left everything behind and had moved on from her past but she thought wrong because years later , her past clashes with her in a worse possible scenario and no matter how much she tries not to fall into the same loop, she is helpless.

The past is haunting and standing before her, challenging her.

Park Jimin, the guy who once used to be carefree and charming was now a hollow, left with nothing but just one mission- To solve the puzzling case of a serial killer that's roaming around the country.

He is a brooding, empty and outright emotionless detective. He had everything in control, it didn't matter if he was breaking apart in the process. He was okay, still bearing the pain of losing his fiance. That's until, the baby sister of his best friend is back in the country after finishing her studies abroad.

And the control he has built over the past years is being crumpled, piece by piece.

As they race against time to stop the killer, they must confront their own dark pasts and the unrequited love that has lingered between them for years.

Meanwhile, Y/n struggles to reconcile her feelings for Jimin with her desire to uncover the truth about his fiancée's death. As the investigation unfolds, they realize that nothing is as it seems, and the shadows of their pasts threaten to consume them.

Will they be able to overcome their demons and trust each other enough to catch the killer and build a future together? Or will the shadows of their pasts ultimately tear them apart?
