Y / N 'S P O V
Little Fiori.
How long has it been since I heard that name?
How long since he called me by that name?
The memories are distant, hazy, like echoes from a past life. It's been so long that I've almost forgotten the warmth and affection that name used to hold. But now, hearing it again, it feels foreign-like it belongs to someone else. Someone I used to be, but no longer am.
I try to steady my breathing, my heart pounding in my chest as I meet his gaze. Jimin's eyes, once so familiar, now seem like the eyes of a stranger. They still have the same color, that deep brown that used to draw me in, but there's a coldness in them now. A distance that wasn't there before. A distance that I'm painfully aware I helped create.
I blink my eyes, feeling my face burning hot under his gaze. "Tell me." Jimin speaks, calm and collected but I don't fail to notice the distance in his voice. The distance between us. The distance that I created. We are close to each other physically but it's just that. There's a thousand miles of distance between us and none of us are ready to close it.
"I.. I did not lie.." I manage to speak and lean back so I'll create more distance between us. Jimin sighs and looks behind me. "Then go ahead and buy your things." He states as I twist my lips and turn to open the door of his car. I'm hyperventilating, my fingers shaking and that's why I struggle to open even a car door.
Stupid, you.
I curse myself and groan at the unsuccessful attempts. Jimin scoffs and without a warning, he forwards his arm to open rhe door for me. I fall further behind in my seat, ignoring him but I could smell his cologne. It's intoxicating. Everything about him is intoxicating and I'm stupid if I let that affect me yet again. "Thanks!" I exclaimed and stepped out almost immediately. Finally, I let out a breath which I had been holding on for so long.
He will leave. He is a busy man after all.
With that thought in my brain, I turn to bid my goodbyes to Jimin and also thank him for the ride but I freeze when I see him stepping out of the car right behind me. "What the fuck.." I whispered under my breath and then bite down on my lower lip. "What?" He asks, raising his one eyebrow as he leans back on his car and stuffs his hands in his pockets while his eyes are focused on me.
I cross my arms and jut my chin at him. "Where are you going?" I questioned, suddenly feeling cold because of the weather. Definitely because of the weather. "Inside the store with you." He imitates my action of jutting his chin at the store behind me. "You... you can't... aren't you, busy or something?" I asked. "I have some time to kill , little fiori. Let's not waste it away and let's go in."
