"Wow and I thought that the west side of Elzuria was bad, well I've never seen the other side but this castle looks like it is straight from a 14th century horror film." Serena said as her brown eyes grew bigger and her mouth was wide open.

"Probably because it is." Ophelia said sarcastically.

"Huh?" Serena said and raised one eyebrow, she had never felt more confused in her life.

"Back in the day before this school ever existed this castle was used by the monarchy on the island, that's also why it's separate from the rest of the island." Grace said.

"Don't forget the horror part. Ooh." Dylan said in a tone that people use when they tell ghost stories by the campfire in the middle of the night. At the same time he moved around his hands around really weirdly but in a funny kind of way.

Serena rolled her eyes with a little hidden smile on her face but she couldn't give Ophelia and Dylan the satisfaction that it was actually funny.

Serena used to love ghost stories and of course the first thing she thought of was to run into the school library and try to find old newspapers to try and see if anything interesting actually happened in this castle.

Serena, Ophelia, Grace, Dylan and Oliver all walked in through the big black gates together with a long line of other students going back to school after summer break. The line didn't end after they walked in. No, there was about a thousand other children coming from magical places all around England just to study in the Mystic-lore academy of wizarding, one of the most prestigious private schools that only allowed the best of the best to study there.

Serena didn't understand how so many children could ever fit into that castle, it wasn't even that big. But on the inside it didn't seem anything like from the outside. The castle was a lot bigger and probably enhanced by lots of magic like almost everything on the west and south side.

When they walked in the boys ran off to their friends while Grace and Ophelia had stayed with Serena.

Class hadn't started yet and the two girls wanted to show Serena around school even though the castle was huge.

Serena was new so she needed to take the entry exam together with the first years and be placed or sorted into one of the three individual groups the school had. Each known for their own thing, not all of them were as good and everyone wanted to be a Magistrae but not everyone could.

The girls had showed Serena the most common places in school and after they walked into what seemed like the schools cafeteria Serena noticed a girl that she wasn't able to unsee.

There in the middle of the room. Sitting by a round table she was. With another girl who had a sweet smile and cute rosy cheeks with her long beautiful healthy Asian hair.

The two girls sat there flipping through the pages of Vogue and Teen Vogue. While the younger girls surrounding them pointed at the pages of the magazines laughing at the models.

The younger girls looked up and noticed the beautiful well known sea girl. They whispered something to the girl holding the magazine and pointed. But she just gave them a glare as a signal to stop talking and looked up at Serena passing their table.

With her flowing honey waves falling down her shoulders like a waterfall of sunlight, her piercing blue eyes mesmerizing anyone who dared to meet her gaze Melanie knew she was beautiful. But Melanie wasn't stupid, she knew that beauty wouldn't give her everything she wanted but power and glory would.
