Grace, Ophelia and Alina were sitting in the library studying for the upcoming project about fairies and elves.
Serena was also in their assigned group by Mrs.Johnson but she couldn't be there to work with the girls because she had felt quite sick for the past couple of days.
Her constant headaches were killing her and the spinning didn't make it any better.
Serena was considering going to the nurse but she didn't want to scare herself with some illnesses or disorders she might have had.
Ophelia raised from the red couch and began making her way into aisle 13, the aisle of mythical creatures. Ophelia went through the books about fairies one for one until she found the one book about fairy dust in the entire library.
On her way back she was met by Gordy, one of professor Montgomery's two friendly gnomes. Ophelia waved at him with a big smile and he did the same thing back but then Ophelia remembered what she had heard the previous day. She started running back to Alina and Grace.
"Do you guys think that professor was acting strangely earlier?" Ophelia asked.
"She had something on her mind, yes but it's probably nothing big." Grace said.
"I think she knows more way that she is letting on." Ophelia said.
"Such as?" Alina asked.
She quickly threw the book about fairy dust on the table in front of the red couch and grabbed both Grace and Alina by their hands. Then she dragged them to the closed entry of the restricted section.
"What are we doing here, you know that these books are forbidden right?" Grace said.
"Well if you must know, I heard professor Montgomery give strict orders to Gordy and Jordy to hide the book of rubes in the restricted section and not let anybody touch it, as if she knew something we don't." Ophelia replied.
"You're not thinking about-" Alina was interrupted by Ophelia.
"We have to go in there."
"You know how much trouble we would be in if someone found out, we could get suspended or worse expelled." Grace said.
"Then no one will find out, now come on." Ophelia waved at them as she began walking again.
Once the girls got closer to the gate of the restricted section the two gnomes jumped out right in front of them blocking the gate entry and their way to the book of rubes.
Gordy was very sweet but also very naive so Ophelia tried to sweet talk her way through but as Gordy was about to let the girls in Jordy stepped in and swung his wand at them.
All three of the girls went flying into the huge bookshelf behind them. A lot of old books fell down with a loud smash, some of them fell under the girls and others hit them in their heads.
Alina had got enough, she stood up and cast a spell at both gnomes. Both of the gnomes Gordy and Jordy froze instantly.
Both Grace and Ophelia were sitting in shock on some books that fell off the bookshelf, but also in pain. That was the first time ever they saw Alina snap like that but that might have been because they also barely knew her.
Alina was proud of herself and tried really hard to hide it so the girls wouldn't think she was some kind of weirdo.
"Just a simple spell they will be back to normal in about an hour... I think." Alina said with a stupid grid on her face.
