Chapter 14 - A Trouble Maker

After a month, they organised a private wedding Ceremony at a grand hotel. Invited around 50 guests.
Freen want to be private as much as possible.

The wedding is in the Buddhist religious traditional ceremony. It took whole day, commencing from the morning, with monks and all, blessing ceremony, offerings of foods, thats lots of activities.
Both wear Thai traditional dress.

As for Thai Dowry system, Becky gave a big amount to her father-in-law.
But afterward Mr Chankimha gave it back to them as gift.

Thai Dowry system has been linked with Thai traditional marriages since time immemorial. It show that the groom is financially stable and responsible enough to sustain his new family.

Here, in groom place, Becky fit in. Freen want to be bride, so Becky gave the Dowry. Its just for traditional.

The evening reception, is usually what we see at a western wedding reception.

Becky wear white three piece tuxedo suits, and Freen wear baby pink off shoulder gown.

The guests congrats and wished the newly wedded couple for their prosperous life together.

Mr Chankimha walk towards them.
He look at his daughter, patted softly her head

"My little girl, may Lord Buddha is always with you. Forgive me, Dad couldn't make you happy, like other father"

Freen sign her father not to say like that.
Then she hugged him, Freen's eyes are already wet.

He looked at her, and wiped her tears
"Don't cry, today is your day, an auspicious day, you should smile. Your Mom would be very proud of you.
Don't cry. Even I didn't show you how much I love you, lately. Believe me, I love you more than anything"

Freen sign 'I know Dad'. After he kiss his daughter forhead
"Be happy" Freen nod her head.

Then he look towards Becky
"Rebecca, Keep my daughter safe and happy. If you can't, bring her to me"

Becky looked at her father-in-law, then towards Freen.
She smile showing her dimple and said.

"Don't worry Uncle"
"Dad, call me Dad"
Mr Chankimha interrupted

"OK Dad, please believe me, I will keep her safe and happy. Don't worry.
I marry her, because I want to keep her to my side, so there will be no chance to bring her back to you. Sorry"

Mr Chankimha smile, Becky joined him. Freen widen her eyes. Its first time, after long time, she saw her father genuine smile. Freen is so happy.

"Deal" Mr Chankimha said
"Deal" Becky show her both thumbs up.

Mr Chankimha walk out, giving the couple chance to meet with their friends.

Freen meet Becky's colleague, more of friends, Irin and Baitoey.

Freen and Baitoey know each other from past. When Freen was secretary to Praew, Baitoey work with her at same office, and she still working there as Becky's senior.

As for Freen's friend, Noey came, she is only one Freen invite from her office.

Actually her college or high school friends are not closed to her anymore, and she doesn't want to invite any of them.

Becky also doesn't have lots of friends in Bangkok. So their friends are limited.

They were introducing to eachother and exchanging informations.

Nam came running towards their table.

"Oiii, oii I want to with my sister but they keep calling me, ok now I am free. Who all are you?"
Nam asked, took a chair.
