Lillian screamed. She shouted and cried, numbing her throat and wearing her voice ragged. She hacked at the impenetrable walls that caged her in her own being. Lillian utilized every weapon she could imagine: swords axes, spears, knives, arrows, anything that would leave even a chink in her prison.
In reality, she wouldn't have been able to lift any of the weapons she conjured, but as she had learned, imprisoned in her own body, she could do anything within her own mind, anything but escape it.
She could clearly recall everything that had come to pass since she was imprisoned, and as time carried on, she feared the worse would come to pass.
Walking alone the village road, Lady Lillian Maurena of Bellemere smiled at the townspeople. She had finished running to the baker and the smithy and was headed back to the manor. Lillian loved the little town and all the people in it. While her mother and father, the nobles who lorded the land, saw the people as nothing more than pawns and workers, Lillian looked a little deeper.
The baker, for example, made apple pastries that were simply divine. Much better than any desserts the palace bakers had to offer. But, his little shop was his pride and joy, and he wouldn't give it up for all the gold in the treasury.
She knew the blacksmith was struggling to support his large family, and that he needed money for a healer. His youngest lad, a usually energetic boy, had fallen ill. So she had commissioned a set of daggers, paid for in advance, that she would give her elder brother on his Naming Day.
The villagers loved Lillian as much as she did them, but as the horizon darkened, the safety of the streets also fell.
A cloaked figure lurked in the shadows, trailing Lillian as she made her way home. As she turned a corner, the shaded man shoved a rag in her mouth to muffle her cry as she fell.
She awoke in a dark chamber, her wrists bound and the disgusting rag still wedged in her gullet. She squirmed, trying in any way to loosen the bonds around her, but soon sagged with exaustion.
A velvet laugh rang throughout the chamber, and a voice smooth as silk said, "Don't struggle child. Those bonds are enforced with runes, escaping them is impossibe to a girl like you."
A woman, robed in red, stepped out of the shadows. Her face was hidden by her hood, but Lillian could see swirls of ink across her open palms. Lillian tensed. Sorceress. A sorceress had stolen her. The woman lifted her cowl, revealing milk white skin, marred by runes that appered to be branded across her face. All forms of magic were banned in Aceria, and this woman was obviously one of the fabled sorceresses. Lillian had honestly believed all forms of magic were extinct, but she had been mistaken. Before she could scream, the woman rached twords her, muttering in some demonic languauge. A frightening drowsiness took her. Her stomach roiled and her head spun, and it felt like her whole being was imploding in on itself.
And her body was no longer her own.
Lillian scowled. Whatever was controlling her body was an absoute menace. The creature asked to be called Lily, mocking her by going by the name she hated. Her name was Lillian, thank-you-very-much. And how had no one noticed her behavioral change? She would have never been so awful to people. In all honesty, her mother had been delighted at her attitude change. The new her, who wasn't her at all, was absolutley abject to marry the prince. Lillian had always thought he was a bit of a pompus stuffshirt.
Lillians head spun, causing the world around her to shake and crash. Fake-Lily had been drinking wine, and lots of it. Fake-Lily didnt need to eat or drink, intead expelled everything directly into Lillian's body. The imposter was fliriting and leaning on the prince in a most improper way, and the only person in the room who seemed not to be intoxicted was the flame-haired girl, called Fyra, who Fake-Lily believed was a threat of some sort.
Suddenly, she began to feel drowsy, similar to the way she felt when taken by this demon. But this magic was different, it was soothing, calming, and made her want to take a long nap.
Lillian could feel Fake-Lily struggling against the claws of sleep, but she welcomed it with open arms.

When Lillian woke, she felt a new resolve strengthen her. The magic induced slumber had been much needed, as the creature inside her hadn't needed to sleep. She was still in the whit room, but one difference caught her eye. On the wall in front of her was a minuscule crack. It was thin, and barely stretched an inch, but it was hope.
Hope that she could get out.

Lily seethed inside. Her anger was like ice, cool and hard. Something had overcome her last night, something magic. Her Master had told her that the other potential light sorcerers were extinct, but only a light sorcerer could have driven her into a sleep coma.
Even as relaxed and intoxicated as she had been, it should have been impossible for an outside force to gain control. But it had. And Master wasn't going to be happy.
