Hello readers!
Yes, I know its been over a year since I've updated this story, and first off, I just want to say, I am so sorry! I totally left you hanging!
But here's the thing-- when starting this project, I did little to no planning or plotting. I just jumped straight into it, using a vague concept and adding in details as I went along. That was fine for quite a while, but then, I hit a wall. Every time I sat down to continue the story...nothing. I had no idea where I wanted to go with the story, and I eventually realized that if I ever wanted to go forward, first I had to go back.
So recently, I've been rewriting, editing, and actually plotting where I want this story to go, because as messy and ill-planned this story is, it's my first one, the one that got me started writing, and I'm not quite ready to give up on it.
I've rewritten about a third of the chapters so far, but even once I do finish rewriting all of it, any new material is going to deviate from the originally established canon because of all the shifts I've made, and adding new chapters on this draft just wouldn't make sense in my mind. It's still the same story with the same characters, but there are new parts and certain elements that would have to be reread in order to get a full understanding.
It's a mixed bag because it feels weird to be starting from square one, but there is good news-- I am 100% planning on continuing this story and my writing has (hopefully) improved immensely since I began writing this story (four years ago!! Insane right?).
Anyways, I will probably create a completely new story to post the rewrite. Same title and cover probably, but we'll see. I hope to see at least some familiar readers over there when I do! When I do post, it will most likely be weekly, but once the semester starts, that may change because I have a pretty busy schedule school and work wise. I am not sure when I will put up the new version, but I will let you know with a new part to this story and probably in my announcements.
Finally, I just want to say thank you. The wattpad community is what encouraged me to write, and the amazing feedback and positivity and love gave me some much-needed confidence and assurance that my material wasn't complete rubbish.
