Thought he would've ate those chickens by now. This is my grandfather's house. A small country side house with a lame farm my childhood self would run around in. Stepped in horse shit when he had horses. It ruined my favorite shoes. But anyways. All of us got out the car and painfully, for me, walked up to the front door. I really don't wanna ask him for help, I can already hear him bitching about my "future". Jeez. Knocking on the door, we waited, a faint "I'm coming", being heard. A second later the door was opened by a grumpy looking version of myself. I say that because he looks like me. "Pink." He said looking at Marxyn, Coffee, and Kave, who was eyeing the chickens. What's up with him and weird animals?. I hate chickens. Unless they're dead and on my plate. Sorry vegans. "Who are these people?" He asked. "Friends, I need your help-" He cut me off. "Your mother informed me. I don't have much but I'll try." He said. He then turned around, motioning for me to follow. "Come, and keep your 'friends' outside." He said much to their surprise. Kave didn't seem to care, he had snuck his way over to the chickens. Coffee was a little uneasy, but eventually went to follow Kave. Marxyn sighed and followed her. Walking into the house, which smelt like any old person's house did, he spoke, "Are you thirsty?". "No, I'm not.." I said, sitting down. I am thirsty, but he's gonna take forever to make a pot of water. "Right.. Your mother doing ok?" He asked sitting in front of me. "She's fine. But-" he cut me off. "Are you doing ok?". What is he doing? "I'm fine.". He nodded, crossing his arms. "Great.. I'm glad you two are doing ok." He uttered. "Yes.. But I'm not here to have small talk." I said, getting annoyed. "Well, I haven't seen you since you were little. And the last time I heard from you, you dropped outta college." He said. I scoffed. It's gonna be a while before I get some information outta him. "Yeah 'cause all you do is talk about how I dropped out." I huffed. He scoffed, rolling his eyes. "Because you're wasting your time on this 'jester' shit!" He exclaimed. I really don't have time to argue with a ninety year old. "This isn't why I'm here! I just need a little help, not a lecture." I responded, making him scoff. "You need to get back into college. I don't need a grandson who lazes around." He argued. He's really getting on my nerves. He's lucky I really want his help. Otherwise I would've walked out. With a groan I responded, "I'm not 'lazing around'! I'm working and I'm more active than you! Fuck-, can you please just stop shitting about my 'future' and help me with what I came here for?" I asked. He huffed, giving me a small notebook. "This is my mother's. It should have her address in it." He said. I opened the book, reading the address. Finally. "Thank you. I'm leaving now" I said, getting up and walking towards the door. "Pink", He said standing up. I turned around, looking at him. "You're a smart kid. I don't mean to pry and 'bitch' at you. I simply just care. I don't want you to end up like your father." He said. I scoffed. " The last thing I'll ever do is end up like that bastard." I said. He hummed. "I wish you well on this little journey of yours." He said. I nodded. "Thanks. Goodbye." I muttered, walking out the door. Kave and Coffee, or just Kave, were petting the chickens. Marxyn looked at me smiling. "All set?" He asked. I nodded, "Yeah, let's go, he gave me an address to some house." I said. He nodded, walking to the car. "Come on Kave!" I said, Coffee already following Marxyn. Kave groaned, putting the chicken down and following. Coffee hopped into the back seat, speaking, "Where are we going now?". I got in the passenger seat, putting the address into my phone. "His mom's house. This is gonna be a long drive." I uttered as Kave finally got in the car. Marxyn started the car, looking at the GPS. "Jesus, alright then." He muttered, driving. "What'd you think we'll get from there?" Coffee asked, petting Kave's head, who wasn't that happy about it, but he didn't stop her. "Hopefully enough of something. I really feel like we're getting nowhere." I said. Kave nodded, "Really, we're wasting time here.". I sighed, but nodded. "We'll get somewhere" Marxyn said, "Even if it takes forever." He added. We all nodded, keeping our hopes up.

After a couple hours of driving, we arrived at a old house in basically the middle of nowhere. "This looks sketchy." Kave said. "It's an old house, what else is it supposed to look like." I asked and he scoffed. "Anyways, if it's an old house it's bound to have something." Coffee said, getting out the car when Marxyn parked. I followed, along with Kave and Marxyn. Jeez, this place is gonna be stuffy..
