I stopped her immediately. " Hold your bullets Big C! " I said, pulling her back. " Do you even know where to start?" I asked, and she just froze. We stood there for, I'm not fucking joking, five minutes staring at each other, before she said something. " No.", very helpful. " Of course. We need a plan! " I said, sitting on the couch and rubbing my head. " Right! We have one! " She said, leaning on the back of the couch. " What is it?..", " Well.. guess I didn't really think it through.." She said, rubbing the back of her neck. Leaning over the head of the couch I sighed. I don't expect much from someone who runs into shit with no plan. " Exactly.. We need to think of where to start! " I said and she stared at me, or at least it felt like she was. " Ever think of doing one of those family test?.." She asked, it felt like a punch in the face. How could I be so stupid? " You're a genius Coffee! "," I am?", " Let's head to the library! " I said, pulling out my phone. " I have a friend who can help!" I said, going to grab my shoes. She stood there seeming confused. " What.. friend?".
Forty minutes later and almost crashing twice because of someone's horrible driving, cough cough, Coffee, we made it to the library. " Come on Coco! He should be on his way." I said, walking into the library. She followed behind, still seeming confused. " He? Who is he?- " She started, but a familiar voice, at least to me, cut her off. "Pink? You said you needed help- " He, Marxyn, guy I met a couple months ago. In my opinion, he's a bit of a smartass, but in this case we need a smartass. But at the moment he and Coffee were having some staring competition. " Who is this? " He said, crossing his arms. " This is Coffee, Coffee this is Marxyn! " I said quickly. " Didn't say you were bringing anyone.." He said, following as I walked farther into the library. " Yeah? Thought you wouldn't mind! " I replied, and he stared at me, raising a brow. " She's helping me anyways, and speaking of which, do you happen to know any ancestry test? " I asked, looking back at him, he nodded, looking confused after. " Why do you need that?.. " He asked. Asking so many questions, what do you think I need it for? I sighed, rubbing the back of my neck. " To make a long story short, I wanna know my family heritage, and that family test-"," Ancestry test."," can really help! " I said, ignoring the fact he was correcting me. " Alright then.." He said, then paused, staring at Coffee before continuing, " Come this way.".
After what seemed like ages, Marxyn slide a computer in front of me, one of those click baiting test already pulled up. " Here's the test, just type in-", " yeah I got it, thanks." I said, pulling the computer closer before starting. This test had like thirty questions on it, most I didn't even know the answer to. But guessing never hurt no body! " So.." Marxyn's voice said, interrupting my train of thought. " How old is she? " He asked, his eyes shifting to Coffee, who was currently reading through books I asked her to read. " Who? Coffee? Twenty-nine. " I said, and he looked back at me confused. " Twenty-nine?.. How'd you meet her?.." he asked, leaning on the desk. "Her Twenty-fifth birthday party.. I was a there jester-ing " I said, looking at him for a second. " And now you guys are.. friends?.." He asked, sitting up and looking down at me. " Yeah, got a problem Head Chopper?" I asked, he sorta just narrowed his eyes at me, huffing. " No. Just curious on why you're friends with someone like her.." He said. Well I guess it isn't hard to tell when you've met an uncaught serial killer. She's pretty recognizable, if you're smart. Not like he hasn't killed a few people, not calling him "Head Chopper" for nothing. " Friends with you and Kav-","that's different. Especially with whatever Kaventon is on..". Rude but true, but if he interrupts me again and I'm kicking him down a few inches. "Right.. Well I just finished the test! " I said, watching the computer pull up a loading screen. " About time. " Coffee said, popping up behind me, honestly scaring the shit outta me. What's up with her and not having footsteps? " When's it gonna give you results? " She asked. I looked back at the screen and groan. "Fuck, tomorrow.". Marxyn chuckled, picking up the computer. " We'll have to wait then.. I'll call you when it's finished. " He said, and I stood up from the chair. " Thanks Marz, let's go C, I'm starving. " I said, walking to the exited. She stayed back for a bit, staring at Marxyn. Gosh, act like kindergarteners. " Right behind you Oliver. " She said, following me. Maryxn hummed, waving bye as I waved back. Now I have to wait twenty-four hours for this test stuff to finish. Whatever happened to modern technology?
